I got this @ P 4,000 around April I think (because I first used in during my first photowalk with Aris last May). You've seen the photos made with it. It's sharp although don't expect contrast and color saturation to be as good as primes or Ls, expect to do some PP. Zoom is smooth but manual focus is a b!+c# so don't even try. As this is a discontinued lens, please take very good care of it as Canon may not have the parts for it anymore or kung naa man gani, dugay pa maayo kung mahagbong ninyo. It has zoom creep. To get the most out of this lens, use F8 from 100 to 299mm, F11 to F16 at 300mm. Use in daylight or with flash.

RFS: Daghan - either I will use money to buy a tripod, save it for another prime, save it for a consumer walk-around with IS, or buy the +4, +2, +1 set of close up filters
