My gramps told me about "the others" when I was a kid. My cousins and I used to play under the coconut tree magbalay-balay mi den our store would be near the big tank which our gramps say, "naay nagpuyo" daw. He would get mad coz we were very noisy til our cousin was "spanked" by someone though he was all alone by the tank -- according to him, he felt someone spanked him -- then sakit na ayo ilingi balik and he ended up having fever na. Twas scary, then our gramps told him to go back and ask for an apology. He did and later on he felt well again.

Whether it's true or not, it's a matter of respecting one's boundaries. Though we can't see them, they also need their own space pod
