Samsung said it has started sampling 1GB and 2GB MMC plus cards as well as a 1GB MMC mobile card.
The cards will throw data across at 52Mbytes per second which Samsung said is 20 times faster than previous MMC cards because of wider bus widths and faster clock speeds.
The MMC Mobile card is designed for mobile phones, and can run at 1.8 volts and 3.3 volts, while the MMC Plus cards are 3.3 volt devices and, said Samsung, are for digital cameras.
