    plus 1 on strada.

imho, hilux and triton have advantages and disadvantages na dili nimo macompare na like oranges.

    for me, hilux wins for
+(1) better interior (beige ala datu-datu imo feeling, though this is a personl preference)
+(2) and has the biggest form factor among triton, navarra, ranger and dmax.

-(1) when i test drove it, noticeable jud noon iya pagkastiff sa suspension, aqng anak na 5yrs old nag ontol ontol dha dalan sa whitegold to sm. funny kaayo tan-awon. feeling nako mahubog na to sya kng ilongdrive padulong negros.
-(2) and 4x2 nila na G-series kay mahal of about 150-100k compared to the equivalent nya na GLX sa triton.
-(3) maybe na timing ra sad with me, pero tanan nako na naka abot na sales sa toyota left me with the feeling na wala sila nangita ug halin. doesnt return calls, doesnt call back doesnt even answer, bisan man lng txt back. 0 customer service for me there. mismo ilang security guard, when we visited toyota mandue one time, kay didto mi gipapark sa layo na klaron ga ulan kusog, wala pa jud payong - daw kay pang customer ra daw tong did2 duol sa entrance (woot?)
-(4) waiting time is too long (worse, they have the tendency to not let you know the REAL waiting time)

    as of the strada nmn,
    (1) ang form nya may not appeal to all (pangchicks ra para sa uban),
pero kng trip nmo iyang porma, solved sad ka kaayo.
    (2) obviously, toyota also has a better track record than mitsubishi (this is for me in general ha, ayaw namo sabat dha)
    (3) waaay okay customer service ang mitsubishi mandaue

so in the end, we bought a triton, service quality was a-okay. the 200k difference with the vigo was channeled to an in-car entertainment center, mag wheels, accessories. kaduha na ni nmo na triton so thats why we were opting for a different one unta but then again - no regrets here, still think we made the right choice, we got the unit i 1 week lng weeeeeeee.

other things to consider na aqng nabantayan,
    1. seems lisod ilisan ang HU sa hilux kay murag nakacustomized sa iya dashboard (maybe im wrong)
    2. no free bedliner and hilux, strada comes with it.
    3. bigger tyres and hilux and with fenders, glx have about 205/80/16 lng and no fenders.
    4. naa free lto registration ang mitsubishi, wala sa toyota.
    5. ang price tag sa mitsubishi kay with freight na, while and sa toyota without. for me this matters kay i feel na pa attract lng na baratu at first then when it goes down to the details, it would turn out na mahal ghapon. (para ra ni sa aq pero maayo jud na na ang ibutang na tag, more or less duol na sa imong actual bayaranm dili na add-an pa ug mga 20-26k para anang freight - as if nmn kng naa ka option na kaw modala ana diri sa cebu.

toyota is a well known company jud noon, naa gud libro na nabuhat based lng sa ilang better management, strategy and techniques, sadly toyota diri sa cebu kay dili mo signify of what i read of this great company. but then again, maybe its just me, bad timing lng cguro.

i agree with sir pablo, power daw jud kuno ang ranger and mazda sa makina,
for whats its worth im going to sum up nlng here kng unsa aqng napulot during our search for our next pickup, not that all might be true ha pero mao ni aqng nabal-an while "researching" daw hehe

    (in no particular order)

    1. hilux vigo
+ biggest in external size (height, width, length) though not sure if this also means biggest legroom/headroom inside specifically 2nd row. (maybe someone here can confirm?)
+ best interior presentation (for me ha, personal choice noon ni)
+ the 4x2 doesnt have an intercooler (mao ra ni among others ang wala i.c. afaik)
+ decent na stock na ligid
+ just had some recent facelift (2009, murag bankil ang iya bar dapit sa grille)

    2. triton
+ best daw in ride (comfy ingon pa nila, i agree too)
+ aerodynamic form and nindot daw barug if youre into it (though this is totally a drawback for others)
    + smaller bed size
+ ang 4x4 na variant kay pickup of the year daw atong 2007? 2008? (based sa motioncars.com ba to? basta from somewhere)
+ best value for money for me here (for glx ha, not sure kng true sa uban variant)

    3. ranger (and mazda bt-50 since everything underneath nya comes from ford too right?)
    + most powerful engine daw

    4. navara
+ 6 speed so ecomical cguro ni not sure unsa advantage ana aside sa kapoy i shift shift.
+ mas mubo iya ground clearance mao wala kaayo q ni consider ani. (nahan q taas nya dako w000t!)
+ ana uban na okay daw ang interior daw wala ko kita personally sulod. dako sad legroom daw.
+ iya ligid kay something like dili basta ma ilisan, naa cguro sya specific na format ba or something.
+ 4x2 pickup of the year 2009 daw ni sya. read from somewhere also (maybe motioncars.com again?)
+ medyo mahal sad, 4x2 is around 1.1m sad.

    5. dmax
+ again pinakaefficient daw ni since izuzu man (syempre as they say when it comes to diesel, izuzu daw da best)
+ ang hitsura nya is getting old for me.

#1 and #2 lng medyo detalye kay mao man na aq na last 2 pick. depende lng jud aha inyo preferences, for me, dili q particular sa makina so mao na vigo or triton aq pick though im not saying dili okay ila engine.

i dont know in terms of power but what i know is labaw ug safety features ang ranger and bt50.

medyo bumpihan ko sa ride sa Hilux.

roller coaster = bumpy, uncomfortable, even potentially fatal. (see the hilux moose test on youtube)
