thanks sa inputs bai.
you say fast ang gas, pero i'm a beginner sure mag cge kog crash, so guba pud akong body bai.
ani ako plano, nahan ko magsugod ug cheaper nya not necessarily fast. then later on i'll upgrade to a faster car. unsa man opinion nimo bai, dritso ko sa gas bisag newbie or unsa man? and unsa man mas maayo, 2nd hand or bnew or mixed?
pila man start up gasto sa gas and sa electric bai? consider that i'll be starting from zero.
thanks.
Bro, i suggest na start ka ug gas kay its totally a different ball game between electric and gas. Sa EP no engine tuning diretso dagan. Dont worry about going fast kay naa man pud na breaks and dont worry about the body kay we can teach how to make it more durable. Natural man gyud na nga ang body maguba but as any racer would say bahala na ang body basta ang awto okei ra.
If you want you could start electric pud. But only if your more inclined to this. Gas races are once a month on a sunday while EP is on every friday at 8pm. Pero still your prerogative to join or not. If you opt for electric, there is a pro kit all carbon fiber with lots of spares at 7k. The car is a Tamiya TB Evo III SUrikarn Limited ed. But this kit is second hand already. If you want a competitive Electric kit thats brand new were talking about 15-25k alone for a car.
If you start on gas i suggest you get a kit thats the mainstream para easy lang kung naa maguba. Whats being run here in Gas are these brands:
Kyosho
V1R
V1RR
and V1RRR World Champion Edition (most of the racers are using this)
Mugen Seiki
MTX3 Prospec
MtX4 (soon to come)
Team Associated
Nitro TC3
and for myself i chose to go against the flow with a Hobao GPX4 Pro the one i posted on this thread.
Here are the prices
Hobao GPX4 Pro 15k excluding shipping
V1RRR 31k ++
Mugen Seiki MTX4 18k++ excluding shipping
Nitro TC3 14k excluding shipping.
Second hand units are also available
NTC3 16k with engine no radio
Mugen MTX4 9k no engine no radio excluding shipping
V1RRR 30k with engine and pipe no radio
V1RR 16k only lacking radio
If you start these are what you need:
starter box 2-3k
igniter 1-1.5k
fuel use morgan for the moment 1550 or if you opt for tornado 2750
car kit is variable on which on you get
radio is also variable what you get. AM ranges from 4k-6k FM is at 5k-15k but FM is better (lowest price for FM at 5k is 2nd hand)
servo digital is from 5k up and analog is 1k up. (digital is faster than analog)
Engine ranges from 7k-25k as i said 25k is the fastest and 7k is most suitable for our tracks but its only adviced for an NTC3
Fuel bottle 300php
if wala kay starter box, maki start lang ka so pwede unya ra na nimo paliton and so with the igniter.

pinion gears are worth 4k alone. brand new of kit is at 17k selling daw for 7k with body wheels and tires. what you need here is the electronics (servo receiver and radio, motor, ESC and battery) if you want to get this kit, you tell me maybe i can help you look for people who will sell the lacking stuff at a cheaper price
@myke:
how about sa mga parts ani bro? (gas powered)
dali raba ta maka order kung naay maguba?
unsay maayo na brand na ma recomend nimo? how bout HPI? ok raba sad na?
or unsa may maayo para diri sa ato-a...
salamat daan bro.
bro personally i would recommend a Kyosho V1RRR World Champion Edition kay lisod gyud kaayo bungkagon. Parts wise no problem about that you could just order from Tamiya Ayala and they will gladly order it from you. Just bring the part number of the item you want thats found in the manual. Ako im using a Hobao GPX4 Pro. The kit itself is cheaper at 15k and the parts are also cheap but you have to order these since these parts are only available in Manila. If you want to get this kit you can get it from me since i know the owner of the shop who is the exclusive distributor of the items. So far okei and Hobao but you have to do some modifications on it but you dont have to worry about that since we can help you with most of it. A hobao would be a good choice pud for beginners.Originally Posted by rasta_dubbed
