Mao ni xa Mysticism brad..
Mysticism is the pursuit of communion with,
identity with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate
reality,
divinity,
spiritual truth, or
God through direct experience, intuition, instinct or insight.
In short, it's being ONE WITH GOD, and in the process, letting go of the prejudices and biases of religion. And the major congregations I have mentioned before are certainly going that way. Spend some time with the congregations above, with the Redemptorists, the Jesuits, the SVD.. they are all turning mystical. As a religious brother once told me, "In this new world, you have to be open.. because you cannot carry out your missionary purpose if you are close-minded." A lot of these missionaries adapt to the culture of the place and people they are being sent into and let go of religious condemnations and prejudices. Instead, they focus more on the common good, and from there begin to introduce these people about the goodness of God (instead of scaring them about Hell or other form of punishment). And it does not happen overnight. It spans many years.. some of these missionaries spend at least 7 years with the people, not lecturing about Hell and punishment, but slowly influencing the people in more positive ways. It is a slow process. That is the approach of mysticism.
