    Angry I Suck at Choosing a Good Video Card

    mga bros, naa ko mga pangutana ba about video cards. gabie nagpalit ko ug 9800GT (Inno3D) 1GB GDDR3. ingon sila na mas nindot to ang GTS250 (EVGA) 512MB GDDR3. ako pangutana;

    1. unsa man jud sukdanan anang video card? why mas nindot man ang GTS250 na 512MB ra man siya?

    Gusto sad ko iconnect ang video card sa HDTV. nakatry ko sauna pero 1024x768 ra ang maximum na setting sa screen ako gamit ordinaryo ra na vga connector. Ingon sila na kinahanglan ko ug DVI connector para magamit nako full reso sa HDTV.

    2. Puede ra ba na siya na adapter gamiton para maka-full resolution ko sa HDTV? o kinahanglan jud ko atong DVI-DVI connector?

    3. Naay HDMI out ang video card? puede ra sad ba HDMI-HDMI na cord gamiton?

    last question..

    4. Why mas mahal man ang mga video card na nVidia ang chipset compared sa ATI na chipset?
    (sa gaisano interpace tag 5,500 ra ang HD4770 nya tag 6,000 ang 9800GT pero mas nindot pa man daw ang HD4770)

    GTS 250 is pretty much built from the same technology of 8800GTS/9800GTX so to put it in a different perspective, same card different name . The video memory would only matter if you're using high resolution (22-inch and up) because the memory acts as a frame buffer (where images are stored before sent to the display), 512MB is applicable to < 22-inch displays.

    As much as possible avoid adapters since they increase (data) resistance, mas maayo kung direct. You pay premium for Nvidia (ATI's strategy is bang for your buck) but in my humble opinion, Nvidia has mature drivers and better multi-GPU support (SLI -- better scaling) but you're just paying for the name so to speak. Between 9800GT and 4770, the 4770 has performance that is almost at par with 4850 and we all know 4850 > 9800GT.

    32" man ang size sa TV sir? asa man jud ako?

    then more than 512MB is applicable. at 32-inch, nindot na ug dagko nga memory ug dual-GPU like GTX295 or 4870x2. pwede sad multiple cards nalang at SLI or Crossfire

    most of the Geforce 9 series are just remakes and rebrands of its predecessor nga 8 series.. only tweaked and increased in core and memory clock..
    dli lng sad ang memory (512mb or 1gb) ang basehan sir, there are also some factors nga mas importante..

    ato lang ingnon pagpangutana...

    Bati ba jud diay ang 512MB ra kun 32" ang TV?

    if you're 32" TV has a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 then 512MB video memory is insuffiecient.
    but i dont think that's the case, you're 32" TV has only 1366x768 native resolution I guess.
    just keep you're 9800GT 1GB. 3k add-on on a GTS250 is not worth the little performance gain.
