seems like Sony is starting to curb game piracy thru the game soft itself.

PSPGen have posted that a new Japanese game, called Evangelion: Jo scans your RAM and detects if you have any type of custom firmware or not. If it detects you have custom firmware. The game will freeze displaying the screen above with some lovely classical musicplayed in the background. It also doesn’t seem that you could bypass this check, since its scanning the RAM….

So Sony have taken things a step further with Anti Custom Firmware games.

First the Anti-Custom Firmware game Evangelion: Jo, now this. As Sony has blocked Playstation Store access from M33 Custom Firmware. If you try to login to the PSN Store you’ll get this prompt “A system software update for the PSP system is required. For update methods, refer to the instructions for the PSP system.”

Lolz, ma lutsan ra gihapon na. Pasalamat sila sa CFW kay ni kusog ilang PSP, kung wala pay CFW murag ambot lang, wa dyud kwenta ilang PSP murag gameboy ra dyud na.
