They resort to self-infliction because they chose to be weak. Their miseries in life got the best of them that they convince themselves that whatever sticky situation they are in is beyond repair. And for those who chose to end their lives are simply the ones who have no strong bond with their support system -- their families and friends. So they feel that they are alone in this world facing their dilemmas...

come on guys lets be fair with him, he did what he thinks better for him. they said being sick physically is better than psychologically challenge for you can just take your prescribed medicine and you'll get better as time goes by, on the other hand psychologically challenge people tends to get worsen as time goes by esp. if they don't have support system like their family which is the best support system we can have. loneliness is the worst enemy of a depress person because the feeling of hopeless and no reason to live would lead to returning his borrowed life to God. so when you see or know someone who's depress try to be with him/her always make him/her feel that someone like you cares and love him/her so much.
bottom line: lets not pass judgment to someone like him that easily, like he's weak and don't know how to cope up and what not. because we also don't know how tolerant we can be of life's various problems if we're not on it before we bite the dust...
