good thing I found this thread...

hhmmm what are the signs of migraine? i've read some articles and other researches..... that what distinguishes it frm any other headache types is that it re occurs on one side of the head only....

i experienced this:
>frequent headaches---on a particular part of the head esp. the left side frontal and occipital part
>left painful eye
>i can't stand soo much noise
>want to stay in a dim room all the time
>saw flashes or what they call "aura"

Try some NSAIDS. Kung dili mo epek, try the triptans, mao man na sila uso nga mga tambal ron for migraines. There are triptans to relieve acute attacks, then there are some you can take for prophylaxis.

Also, for alternative treatments, supposedly acupuncture is quite effective. Many people swear by it.

I get awful headaches from time to time too, and I know how debilitating those can be. Good Luck!

this worked with me and i would like to share lang...not necessarily recommending it without concurrence by your medical team.

according to a research i came across, the root cause of general migraines is not in the head area but elsewhere. it is caused by faults in the intestinal walls allowing absorption of poison from the stomach into the blood stream, hence eventually circulating in the body manifesting as painful migraines in some.

one suggestion was taking a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil each night before going to bed.

somehow, it worked for me. headaches gone since.

i get sinus and migraine headache... sometimes lisud i differentiate pero ako ra jung technique to differentiate is sa akong temple ra jud... kung naay pulsating ang nerve man siguro na then migraine na siya..

i take voltaren when either sinus headache and migraine occur

na trigger ako migraine because of birth control pills. super sakita. now i stopped using it na.. nawala man pud so far..

i see.... so nagpa check jud ka dayon diay? asa imo ika recommend,labi na sa chong hua ba.....o mao jud na signs sis... wat tests are undergone man to determine if u have migraine?

i see...so is the olive oil readily available in the market?

yup nagpacheck up ko kay i thot nalibat ko one time pero it was aura(flashes of lights) diay to so naalarm ko kay for almost amonth dili nman ko undangan ug severe headache,muhilak nko sa kasakit,went to Dr.Eubil Bilocura in chonghua medical arts,daghan man to sis iya giperform,morecommend ra cya ug ct scan if dili mutalab ang tambal , morecur and mosevere pag-ayu imo headache...maayo kau na cya nga neuro sis.

sa akong case ba kay weird sad..I can't stand talking too much...mosakit maau after....
