To summarize the statement above: either we owe our existence to chance and the intrinsic properties of nature or there is an intelligent (Divine) hand that imposed it's design on nature.

Theory of evolution supporters claim that the universe started 14-17 Billion years ago. This length of time will be sufficient enough to allow evolution to take place. However, technical data currently acquired by the Hubble Space Telescope indicates that the universe is only 8-10 billion years old. By this alone the evolution from a single celled organisim to the common man (60,000yrs ago) will not be sufficient. We would still be chimpanzee's if we are to follow this argument. Although i must agree that some men i know here still think they are chimpanzee's. How then could evolution take place with that time frame alone? Please answer that...

Now can you please provide PROOF here the missing link (the ape that will link to the homo sapien or modern man) is so that we can finally say that we came from the apes?

If you could show that now, then I will take your side already and take back everything i wrote here and say that i'm a monkey... till then you are the only descendant of the monkeys.

Science has proven religion time and again. I have no bad apple agains the theory of evolution, in fact, many of the biblical miracles have been corroborated by science. They go hand in hand.

brad according to the Theory of Human Evolution presented by Charles Darwin, we are an in-direct descendant of apes. There are two schools of thought when we talk of the origin of man. The evolution theory of Charles Darwin and the GENESIS theory of the Bible. Both have their points and both have their cons. Either way they are both unproven... why? read on...

The bible purely relies on faith and belief to convince us that we came from a superior being that by genetic selection separated us from the fauna of the earth. There is no hard proof that it is true... that I must agree. But fact that nations have been built and organized under the precept and concept of the bible's simple truths and laws leaves me wondering... is this POCKETBOOK (as CROMAGNON loves to call it) really just a pigment of somebody's imagination? Surely a simple pocketbook could not be that true for a whole civilization to use it as a referrence and guide and yet not hold it to be true? Show me a pocketbook that can do this... Genesis merely stated that GOD created us in his own image and likeness. Whether HE molded us from the single celled organism until we were formed into a superior man (like HIM) or with the snap of a finger created Adam and Eve, is not evolution by any definition!!!

If i were to take the case of the evolution theory, i still have questions. ... where is the missing link? The apeman that linked the future man with the homo-erectus? Nada!!!

The theory of evolution by Darwin if theoretically linked to Hawking's BIG BANG THEORY (as opposed to the BIBLE's theory of creation). From the Big Bang theory (exploding star), single-celled organisms have evolved to that diversity of life we have here on earth. The birds, the trees, the water, the animals, and yes... even cromagnon man. Billions and trillions of years ago, we all started out as MINDLESS cells with no sexual definition. From there, life evolved.

I have no question with that, but even that is still a theory begging to be proven by hard facts... which sadly is still in its infancy...

In the end, it's all a question of faith. While i am a scientific man that doesn't discount the fact that the theory of evolution might be correct i am currently putting my chips on that proven theory that a SUPREME BEING (maybe a superior ALIEN or the ALMIGHTY GOD) created me and you... that's what i want my son to believe... maybe later on, if they have already convincing proof that the missing link realy is true and that genetic mapping links us to the monkeys... I might change side.

But as for now... I came from ADAM (handsome and superior) while cromagnon man and the others belong to the monkeys.
