Can you give me some rationale why would you prefer big band over dixieland in tonal bias?

ako kay jazz fusion lang usa until ma learn nako og appreciate ang "old school" jazz. I think "old school" is kind of a bad adjective for jazz because jazz never gets old! Jamie Cullum diay ako idol og mga nu-jazz og acid jazz na bands (Jamiroquai, Jazzanova, etc.)
