Its not only measured in DDR5 or DDR3 for both brands in terms of performance. There are other factors like Bandwidth or how many bits (256bit for ati 512bit for nvidia). number of ROPs and Shader clock are known to be advantageous for Nvidia compared to ATIs.
ATI have not yet unlocked their shader clocks, the number of ROPs and memory bits which are significantly lower compared to Nvidia.
Technically ATI has more advanced technology since they can cram upto 800SPs in a single 55nm Die. They just need to unlcock some features in their cards.
Even without unlocking these features like shader clocks, memory bits, and # ROPS ATI could still compete with Nvidia.

yes indeed. what I was indirectly pointing out is mas nahan ko sa nvidia. mas nindot ang design, masnindot ang colors, cuda, physix and I particularly dislike catalyst. I have question though why do ATI almost always put a 3d anime character on their cards and drivers? I don't understand it. Not all who buy cards use it for games some for 3d rendering, video rendering, photo editing and the like.

Naa diay GDDR5 sa nvidia? AFAIK wala man..

Now about sa PSU, ayaw tipira imung PSU. Nindot kaayo ang VC then tipirun nmu ang PSU, naa bya'y tendency mangamong ang PSU kung mubuto na. Naa may mga issues ang HEC PSU's AFAIK. Find a better PSU brand like Corsair, OCZ, Silverstone etc...

Wow nice colors daw ang Nvidia. Well good for you. You only like the card layout.

And why do you dislike Catalyst?
for one thing catalyst is the what ATI calls their drivers. CUDA and PHYSX are the features of NVIdia for GPGPU or physix applications. ATI also has their own term for these features and its called Stream Processing.
We as people also have those features and its called n.o.o.b.
