I'm not sure because I'm not as well versed as you all are in this. But could it be that one by one your wishes and dreams came true because you willed them to be? That in your belief that things will be okay, it was translated into your acts and you started to make changes for the better, thus resulting into having your dreams realized? That all these can be achieved even without a "miracle" from "Him"? That it was a miracle you created upon yourself?![]()
Ok.But when you closed your eyes, you probably thought about your problem and how to solve it. So that when you opened them, you had the solution. It was you yourself and your brain that was working to create your own miracle, perhaps?
Pero ambot brad. Imuha sad tong experience. Ikaw rah gyud ang nasayod ana. Ako kai curious lang jud ko. Kai I was personally raised as a Roman Catholic but then I always knew deep down there was something wrong. Too late nga when I realized it, the concept of "God" has been deeply instilled in me. So I'm somewhere in the middle. Afraid to abandon the God that I am used to, and yet my very being is craving for answers and the truth.
But I digress. Mura'g OT naku. Maalaala Mo Kaya kau akong story. Hehe.
Yea I was an RC too brad when I was you. At the age of accountability I am fortunate I found a good church. But then it doesn't matter much to me. Then came my trials, i stop believing God brad. I reasearch how true is he... i started to hate him for bringing this upon me. I was too young... I did not do anything bad at the standard nowadays... but then the more i suffer. Until I said this is too much. If he take me now just take me... and now im convinced. Brad if you are not sure of your church go somewhere that will convict you, it will make you happy.
@Blue, I decided not to continue that conversation with your for the following reasons:
1.) I humbly admit that my knowledge towards Buddhism is not enough for me to further my initial conclusions.
2.) The delikadisa and the "hilasness" of people talking about something as if they really knew it, is creeping on me.
3.) I somehow respect Buddhism.
I will convince myself that I will ignore whatever conclusion you may come up with my decision.
and I almost forgot... OT na kaayo.
how will you know what is right or wrong?
with your own standards?
if we will just use our own standards everything will be right.
like:
1. its right to have many wives.
2. its right to cheat.
3. its right to get all you want.
4. its right to gamble, take drugs, kill and etc.
GOD told us what is right and wrong and its upto our Free Will to follow it or not.
Peace!
