Although dili maiwasan nga possible na siya mavirus. you will know na mavirus na na siya ky lahi na ang sulod basta iopen nimo sa notepad. suwayi sa kanang wala virus nga computer, naa na siya. iopen sa notepad. tan.awa unsa sulod, usually settings sa desktop ang naa ana. but if virus na siya, lahi na ang nakasulat ana. hehehe...

I agree. Desktop.ini is a system file that allows you to specify how a file system folder is viewed that is why it is marked with System and Hidden attributes. This .ini file is NOT a virus itself. However, this can be infected by certain virus/worm that modifies the configuration of the ini file. If you happened to see desktop.ini all over your folders then probably you are infected with virus called HTML.Redlof.A. which sometimes is associated with folder.htt files. But even if you delete all of these files, it will definitely comes back.

Nope. Desktop.ini is a Windows XP system file. It stores information about customized folders.

Anyone who has customized a display of any folder, perhaps by changing the icon or the way something is displayed, may have enabled Windows to save those settings in a "desktop.ini" file.

However, viruses have been known to hide there, even change their name to Desktop.Ini.

dili man na siya virus bro. if n ag use kaug anti virus na ma detect nya..bati na na Anti virus kay false detect ra na. then kana na file kay system file na sa mga folder..Destop.ini...makita na nimo if imo e show hidden folder/files.

ako opinion bro e delete na nimo ug manual basin gi himo rana...pwede man na mahimo ang ingon ana..murag clone ra na niya.... prank virus tawag ana bro..

Naay uban virus nga ilisan nila ila name ug desktop.ini.. Scan nalang nah ug updated nga anti virus kung discumpyado jud ka nga virus nah...
