im not an atheist, actually im a believer. Im not pro-abortion but I am pro-choice.

I think people have the option to get an abortion or not... my reasoning is actually not based on a religious one but on political idea and also on science.

If the case is such that the fetus is a result of rape, the possibility that the child could be abnormal is great. and also unwanted which could result to a problem child because he/she is unloved.

If the fetus is a result an incestuous relationship it could be carrying genetic defects... well we dont want to propagate the world with people with genetic defects do we? that is the reason why law disallow marriage between 4th degree consanguinity. or could be mentally challenge..

now if these children grow up and become adults and with the kind of childhood they have, what kind of parents will they be?

    its like a multiplier effect...

Well for those who are quick to judge who opt to terminate their pregnancy...

We are not on the place to judge their action as wrong or right, Judgment is not our its God's alone. )

IMO, the best argument is to define, When does human life begin?

Some would define it through a theologic or religious faith belief. Some would define "human life" using certain philosophic theories and beliefs. Others define "human life" by using biologic, scientific facts. The fact that different people use different standards of measurement by which to define "human life."

    @TS

let's see you put a bible beside this very situation (actual) and see if it saves both...
because if it doesn't, that's what's called reality...

I am a pro-choice too, just like "unsay ngalan nimo". Religion should not be the barrier it should be respected. I do understand the value of life [I work as a nurse] but that value will be changed once that person involved with a terrible crime that will last for the rest of her life.

You got all wrong sister. I don't preach this to the public that IT SHOULD BE ACCEPTED. As I have said, it's between religion and personal choice or decision. I am optimistic that religion should not be the basis of personal choice. What would you do if this is going to happen to yourself? You can say now that you have to follow what is good, you have to continue your pregnancy and eventually giving birth to a child but there is a tendency that your personal beliefs will be tested. Question will be asked and answers will be vague. That's why it should be a personal choice not some groups of people who dictates everything for you. In the end, you are the one who is going to take of that child, not them.

This thread has nothing to do with your personal choice, clearly its with our code of conducts to which if abortion is right or wrong.
For me abortion is really wrong regardless of the circumstances as what mr.kebot stressed out in his previous post.

Educate the person of other choices. And let her decide, it's her body.

cmon guys lets face it. rape case, incest pregnancy... how many times you heard of this? You see you are trying to Accept Abortion that this is the right thing to do. Through this what we call peculiar case. Brad its thier choice indeed. But all actions have responsibilities brad. So far in the 2 cases presented yes, I cannot stop them because of the huge moral responsibility they will be facing. But they will still carry the burden of lossing something in thier life. I cannot argue more on that cases. But accepting Abortion? Its a chance of life and you supress it. Isn't it murder? i don't know.

Take a look at suicide bomber. Yes indeed it is their CHOICE. Do you like it? Point is not all choices is RIGHT for everyone.

    I believe in reincarnation.
For me abortion is a tool for universal justice.

I you kill someone in this life.
His soul will go back to become a woman.
    And when you die,
your soul will reincarnate to the baby in the womb of the woman you killed.

Then that woman will abort you.

    That completes the universal justice.
    After that,
you will live a life of healing.
Then you reincarnate again with clean karma now.

Good thing it's not true, it's gonna give all the jews hitler killed to reincarnate and kill hitler again and again.
It's not justice, it's cruelty. Justice is having what you want without destroying anything in the process.
    Vigilante killing is not justice.
