i see your point. but on the other hand, some "occult powers" can lead you to another path of enlightenment. for example, obe/astral travel can lead you to understand that death is just a sweet illusion. you don't take it by faith or by rationalizing the existence of souls, you'd know it by experience. you'd know that you are a being (soul) having a human (body) experience.
if that reasoning won't do, this line running through my head should:
girls just wanna have fun...hahahha![]()
^hahaha...frequent flyer sad ka, sis? just for fun, diba?
"Have no desire for psychic powers; they will come when the Master knows that it is best for you to have them. To force them too soon often brings in its train much trouble; often their possessor is misled by deceitful nature-spirits, or becomes conceited and thinks he cannot make a mistake; and in any case the time and strength that it takes to gain them might be spent in work for others. They will come in the course of development--they must come; and if the Master sees that it would be useful for you to have them sooner, He will tell you how to unfold them safely. Until then, you are better without them."
-from the At The Feet Of The Master
there is a stark difference between having such powers already, and forcing to have it..
the importance is to have no desire for them.. kay mu-andar na gani ning desire, usually, ma-selfish jud ang labas sa tawo.. maski gamay kaau na butang, resort dayon to powers.. murag talawan na pud ang labas..![]()
