    I am a Catholic.
Let me ask you, in what way will that dark ages happen again, when we will put in consideration the various thinking revolution that man(as a whole) underwent already?

Stop stirring the mud that was washed off the clothe, why keep reminiscing that terrible history? Dumot or plain stupidity?

Yes sir handsoff it could be both- Dumot or plain stupidity, or it could be just being prudent or VIGILANT to History not being repeated once again, its easy for you to say "stop stirring the mud,,,bla, bla,,that thinking revolutuon that man underwent already"
but for me its not a wise statement coming from a believer under the canopy of the church that caused a terrible horror,
maybe, just a suggestion, the appropriate or humble way of dealing the situation is to continously ask for APOLOGY, not a sarcastic stance kasi nagkamali nga eh,
not in the position to be arrogant

Ms charm, if i may translate my elite friend's explanation to you, its one way of saying -that the new generation catholics has nothing to do with the crimes done by its ancestors, & to continously harbor past horrors might only spark old wounds, and besides the late pope declared public apology already, so the church i guess has to continue its good objectives minus the shortcomings in the past,
And human as we are my elite friend (not putting words into his mouth) shares the same irritation when an old mistake is being brought to the open; like a nagging wife who doesnt know when to stop her letanya.
And im not siding mr. Handsoff as a catholic but as man who gets irritated by constant nag,

@ms charm. too much nagging that i forgot the word. it is not vigilance, what you are doing is nagging.

nganong ma sangit man jud ta diha sa dark ages?
tungod ba sa mga pag panglutos sa mga heritics sa una?

if i could suggest, atras lang ta og gamay sa history, di ta mag sugod sa dark age.

adto ta mag sugod sa mga binuhatan sa mga tig sulat sa bible.

from the book of paul - si paul daghan kaayo to gi pang lutos sa una. so dapat mag vigilant na ta.

anha lang sah ta dapet atras.

so kinsa may walay dark side karon?

Religion is only part of a culture and it disciplines the people following it giving them the idea of what is right and wrong which depends on what is being taught to them.. so religion is just religion and spirituality is something that is more important than any form of religion... ^^

Religion is our relationship with GOD.
GOD is spirit, so religion is part of our spirituality to serve GOD.
we must take the whole not just a part that which we seems acceptable to ourselves.

    Peace!
