And when you asked her if magbulag mo if dili ka mag convert tas ingon dayn cya "i'll think about it".. what? Haller, i know religion is really important but that's not a basis of love. Try to ask her this: "how would you feel if i ask you to convert to my religion?"... that way mabati niya kung unsa imong gibati karon.

kalain pud anang uyab na mo-force nimo to convert uy.. if u convert to another religion, it should be because-- it's your choice.

@otis: religion should not be a big issue in a relationship. make your girlfriend realize that. you can always compromise ra man unta. as long as u believe in one God, i think it should not cause both of you to fight. ang practices raman sa religions ang ga-differ ba. diha lang magka-conflict (most probably). But if you learn to compromise & respect your partner's belief, so wala problema. it's not your religion that can save you baya. It's your faith.

In my own opinion, Naay reason ngano imo GF gusto ka pasimbahon sa iya church. Lisod man gud kung dli mo same religion most likely mag cgi mo away or lalis just because of religion pro over all dli man ang religion makasave sa usa ka tawo kun dli iya faith to GOD. Whether you are Catholic or Born Again kung dli ka devoted useless gihapon. Pasabta lng imo uyab about ur situatuon ngano dli ka mosimba sa iya church or better yet try wat she wants (which is mosimba sa iya church) kung love jud nmo siya.

kung sa ako lang.. sala man sa imo gf in the first place of why she involved herself with you when she knows dili man kaya pwede sa iyang church... she should face her consequences.. as to you,, just hear her out lang pud, why she wants you to go.,. listen lang sa to her explanation,, yes, do let her explain why you should go.. you have to know her convictions and how deep her faith is. if you love each other,, then you will listen to each other.

Religion is a personal decision, if ganahan ka mubalhin to another denomination (i think this is the right term, coz protestants and Roman Catholics belong to the same religion, Christianity) that is because you found something that you're looking for in a religion. Not because sa imong uyab. Obviously, dili imong uyab na decision na, thats peer and family pressure coming out f her mouth trying to convince you. I belong to a devout Protestant family, UCCP to be exact. My brother married a woman who belong to a very devout RC family, after sila kasal, ang ako sister in-law ngbutang ug virgin mary sa ila room, very big, then every 6 mgnovena sya ok lang namo. Theyre in chicago right now with two kids. I got married with a devout catholic last year, guess what wala pa problema and we're expecting our first child this summer. Both marriages wala niSurface and religion thing. Wala man mi problema sa kasal if ganahan catholic then catholic, the question is ang mga bata asa binyagan? ang Children mgdecide ana ang couple jud dili pwede kinsa paman BESIDES, pgtiguwang ana ang bata ra ghapon mgDecide asa sya ganahan mabelong na religion!

@Luthienne, pila imo nailHan nahitabo diay ing-ana na situation? IF ang RC wala problema pakasal sa protestant, then I would have married my long time GF of 7 years. Her mother forced us to break up because of our religion. Case to case basis of misguided persons.
