    Default Hardisk problem

    hey guys,

Just wanna ask for some ideas, suggestions or something.

What's wrong with the hardisk when you install the OS (i.e. win98,etc.) yet even if its capacity is up to 40Gb, only about 2Mb is recognized (no partition yet)?

    Hi again,

and hi jaguar631983. I suggest that you will create another thread for your concern/problem so that we can tackle things one by one, separately.

Regarding my problem, it's been solved already. by the way, the jumper and the batt are ok. I just tried deleting the old partitions and repatitioning it through the windows environment (boot from CD), not through "fdisk" in the DOS environment. I don't have really an idea as to what happened but it worked that way. thanx for all the inputs guys
