nobody's using the bible for any agenda whatsoever, sir kebs. if there's anybody who are using the bible fervently, it's those who cherish Christianity. i see nothing wrong with that either. but you really can't stop some people who want to view the bible as nothing more than just a wonderful book with good stories and moral lessons we could learn from. these people want to view the events in the bible in a historical perspective and we can't really blame them because they're subject to their own freewill and accord. while some of them may have found something historically interesting in the bible, believe me, it is not their purpose to discredit the sacred book, but somehow, offer a different perspective in reading it. and that, is based on the historical perspective. i know and i understand how difficult these may sound to you and/or anyone who regard the bible as the Word of God, and in behalf of them, i apologize if we may have caused you offense in our criticisms, but deep inside, we're just acting out of what we believe in. just the same as you are acting on what you believe. now, what i propose, is that, maybe we could start anew minus the derogatory remarks from both sides. actually start respecting each other. mr.kebot, sir, i must tell you this, that i still don't believe the bible as the Word of God in its perfectness. but i'm still hoping we could still respect each other. perhaps you could still treat me as a friend even though i'm a heretic. but rest assured, i won't attack you and/or any zealous religionists in here. i respect you all. namaste.
