sana!! up to fourth degree of consanguinity!!
Yes
No
Undecided

Absolutely yes! But I doubt it will happen kay this dynasties will vote against it ahahaha.
husto jud tomas pag ingon niya na di siya uyon na padaganon si margot. di mulambo ang lugar kung polital dynasty ang mupadagan sa gobyerno. i've seen it here in eastern visayas.
and what are the parameters? disallow the son to run for mayor? when the father's term ends or disallow th son to run for any public office?
banning political dyanasties is easy, but implementing it will be difficult... the parameters are abstracts in nature...
the truth of the mater in any country political dynasty exist or shall we say political families... why should we curtail the rights of the son to serve because the father has already served?
in someways we must still look at people as individual person and not as only part of a family...
no we cannot ban political families... but we can stop power hungry families through clean and honest election, through mature voters, through education and vigilance... and through continuation of CARP.. strip of these families of their lands and give it to their workers and tenants..people must learn choose leaders base on merit and not base on family names...
thats the true political maturity..
changing the consti to answer the prob on political dyansty is a mere ploy... i think... CARP makes more sense than banning political dynasties...

tomas idol!!! get one of your people to run "for you" and still be mayor...![]()
actually, a bill has been authored by Sen. Lacson and is now approved at the committee level in the Senate and endorsed for plenary deliberations.
PARAMETERS
The bill prohibits the spouse or persons related within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, whether legitimate or illegitimate, full or half blood of an incumbent public official seeking re-election from holding or running for any elective office in the same municipality/city legislative district and/or province in the same election or occupying the same office after the term of office of the incumbent elective official.
“Additionally, it also prohibits two or more persons, who have political dynasty relationship from running simultaneously for an elective office within the same municipality/city, legislative district and/or province, even if neither is so related to the incumbent public official,” Lacson said in his explanatory note of the bill.
so u see, these parameters are not abstract but concrete in nature. actually, it will not be difficult to implement this law once passed. the difficult part instead is passing the law mismo.
the rights of the general citizenry supersedes that of the rights of the son or relative. When it comes to public service, mangibabaw gyud ang rights sa mga tawo and the better good. Suma gud, in the case of hiring, nka lapas ba diay ug balaud nang dili i-hire ang asawa, or son, sa same gov't office? wala di ba? it's because hiring a relative would be tantamount to nepotism.
that's basically the same principle sa elections pud unta.
that's ur opinion...
there was no implying here that changing the consti is merely to answer the problem on political dynasties. Answering the problem of political dynasties is only one small factor why we have to amend or change the consti...
as Rep Salimbangon said, some reasons why the need to amend the charter:
(1) reversal of the 60-40 Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) sharing scheme, with 60 percent going to the local government units (LGUs) instead of the current 40 percent.
(2) election of senators by region for equal representation, and increased number of Senate seats from 24 to 50.
(3) to reduce the president’s term to just four years instead of six, with a chance at a re-election.
(4) provide salaries instead of honoraria for barangay captains

i'm against political dynasty... dili na ma-audit ang previous nga leader sa mga corruption iya nabuhat kung ang magsunod member ra sab sa pamilya
murag ma-useless ra pud ang election every 3-years kay basically wala man nailisan ang leadership, ang pag-padagan could mostly be controlled ra pud sa ex-leader. so NO to political dynasty
