almost "all" as i believe.. as long as its S939,.. since SLI's are newer boards and already anticipating(if not expecting) that an X2 will be the proc to be paired with that board.

to make sure,.. check the particualr mobo model and check their site if it supports X2.

hello mga bros, X2's is about to come in M2 sockets and I was too busy guessing about the upcoming Quad core AMD CPUS lately, according to the chart, 5200+ (running 2 x 2.6ghz 1mb L2) is the high-end Athlon64 X2 in socket M2 and maybe its the last dual core. I'm guessing that AMD will be releasing its first budget quad-core starting at 5400+ which I've guessed clocks 4 x 2.0Ghz 512kb L2.

Shall we take a look back at dual-core 3800+ which clocks 2 x 2.0Ghz 512kb L2 also, if we run that on a single core only of 2.0Ghz and 512kb L2 it will be rated as 3000+, and if we will add 1 core to make it dual that adds 800+ to make it 3800+. And if we add 2 more cores again adds 1600+ (800+ X 2) to make it a quad-core which is 3800+ plus 1600+ wlll be 5400+....

I was just wondering why AMD WindsorX2's in M2 sockets stops at 5200+...hehehe

    Does it make any sense?
