Thread: baduy?

You name drop JOY DIVISION and THE SMITHS as your favorites pero I doubt that you really dig them. I can't imagine a country music affecionado jamming to TRANSMISSION or DIGITAL. You say you liked New Order's late 90's to mid 2000's releases. Well, they never released anything during the late 90's. GET READY (2001 release) was never big and wasn't distributed in the Philippines.. WAITING FOR THE SIRENS' CALL is good but the sound wasn't that far off from their album REPUBLIC (1993 release).

You gotta get off WIKI to support your arguments my friend.. just because WIKI said that New Order departed from their synth sound during the turn of the century that you can base that for your claims on liking them.

Countrykid.... somehow bai that's hard to believe. Mercury Rev sa Bohol? Mercury Rev don't even get played in Radios here sa States othet than College Stations. Sa Bohol pa hinuon nga Mercury Rev's record company has no pull on the local radio stations. I actually laughed when you said "PERMI TUKAR SA MERKADO UG KARANDERIA" kay Mercury Rev's sound isn't radio friendly... permi na hinuon patukaron. LOL. Nag huna-huna lang kos namaligya ug kamatis jamming to "Secret For A Song".

Funny thing too nga mo ankon ka nga di ka sweto bahin sa Jonas Brothers pero you've been yapping about them dugay na... you also claimed that you have several JONAS BROTHERS' CD's... you even have a thread about them.

the mercury rev was because of the pirated CDs na uso sauna... mostly compilation pero naa pod whole albums...

ang sikat ra sa mercury rev nga murag ginaplay was goddess in a hiway but somehow migawas ang pirated copy ato essential mercury rev (the original version available pa now sa odessy under V2/universal records.the one with the "U" logo not the globe)

naa pa gani to mga pirated compilation sauna nga ang title ky Contagion and it got music from creed, big dismal, flaming lips, coldplay, ug switchfoot

mao sa mga karenderia ug merkado sauna nauso to alternative rock ug pati na rap metal...

Singles nga album naa nko sa New Order... naa man uban songs ato na dili synth based so assume ra sad their from the late 90s

Waiting for the Sirens' Call ky murag sagol man... i got it mainly ky gi sale sa metro ayala for 250 (naa pa gihapon nabilin tag 250 ron sa warner music nga gisale sa metro ayala kahapon i checked naa pa harry potter soundtrack didto)

I still don't believe you bai. Kay you're saying nga kaning panahona pag Highschool nimo so basically this was at least 6 years ago. Well 6 years ago I'd understand nga mo pirate silag mga Limp Bizkit ug Disturbed pero Mercury Rev? Then patukaron pirme sa Merkado ug Karenderya? And they got so popular na you'd compare them to how PARAMORE is right now? I should hang out with them guys sa Merkado sa Bohol.. maybe karon they're tripping on M83 and The Helio Sequence.

Mercury Rev had such an avant garde sound nga tagsa ray maka sakay... basically not the listeners sa Karenderya ug Merkado. I can just imagine.. right after APRIL BOY REGINO.. Mercury Rev dayon. Bisan pag the mainstream-ish sound sa Goddess On A Highway track, I doubt nga maka sakay ang mga taga merkado who's used to listening to Spaghetti Pabababa and Ocho Ocho. Mercury Rev around 2002-2003? Very unlikely.... and, do BOHOL Radio Stations play pirated CD's? ..
    ---

About WAITING FOR THE SIREN'S CALL ..... try listening to the REPUBLIC album and compare the sound.
