gun ban is OK but there are some high-profile people (judges, politicians...) who prefer to possess firearms for their own use instead of hiring bodyguards..you can't blame them bec. bodyguards are sometimes susceptible to bribery to go against the persons they're supposed to guard...
there must be extensive psychological tests, background check, etal. before acquiring license to possess/use firearms...however, these tests are somehow not reliable enough to know the exact personality of the person...it's a matter of discipline and responsible use na lng jud..

There are millions of loose firearms in this country, even kids in Cebu have easy access to guns. For 600 you can already have a .22 revolver from Danao. The only way Total Gun Ban can be achieved or "close" to being achieved is if there is a Martial Law wherein the military will be involved, conducting lots of checkpoints and house to house search. That being said, if there is a total gun ban, the only people brazen enough to carry guns will be criminals who have nothing to lose or "gangsta" kids who should have known better. Law abiding (kuno) citizens will be left naked. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
HEHEHEHE
