The road to amending the Constitution is far more difficult than we could imagine. Those who insinuate that the House of Representatives could easily manipulate anyone to change the Constitutional provision especially with regard to term limits do not seem to realize that the HOR is working on its own.

The Senate knows that it has to do something. Otherwise, they will be branded as futile. With too many political interests intertwined, it will be difficult for anyone not to bring this to the Supreme Court. And the Supreme Court will clarify the matter to our legislators. Before all of these happen, 2010 elections is already taking place. Hence, no charter change can be achieved at this time.

Hah! The senate does nothing nowadays anyway. Look at our "wise" senators. Useless bunch of actors, TV personalities, mutineers, and senile old people. I can could the number of decent senators with one hand.

Of course they will oppose this. They stand to loose the most. If the parliamentary system pushes thru, the senate will no longer exist. the HOR had no choice but to do this on their own, the senate would oppose them otherwise, and not for the sake of the greater good. They have their own interests to protect.

I dont like how they went about it, CON-CON is a better idea that CON-ASS, but to be perfectly honest, Im willing to see how it turns out.

I am favor of changing the constitution but at this time is too early.. its too early..

this another stupid acts by the administration... it feels frustrating.. there are plenty of pending resolution in the lower house yet the administration congressmen are pushing a resolution that is not a priority.. Why are politician doing this.. its too early..

the 1987 constitution can be said as a "reactionary constitutions" kay the Con Con then was busy countering on the excesses of an authoritarian regime ...it is a good one for us then but there are provisions which fall short to our present reality ... daghang bag-ohon ... di lang unta ang reversion to parliamentary form of government: it wont work here as we are very fragmented people. I think they should change the article that "every filipino can become president" ... there should be a clause on this: college graduate filipino can become president ... grabe ra man gud .. moapply ka ug work, kinahanglan ug diploma ... unya ug modagan ug pagka presidente, di kinahanglan ang diploma: basta dunay machinery ug Kwarta ... daghan pa ni nga kinahanglan tangtangon nga provisions ... another thing, tanan nga elected official should resign from their offices if they run for an elective position even if their term has not been completed ..and their positions should be declared vacants and up for grabs ... dunay, lapse ug abuso aning dapita ... look at our senators who will run and run kay nothing to lose ... balik gihapon sila sa ilang position ug mapildi .. what a kind; that is why we have less honorable men and women in the senate!

i think the part where there is no educatinal attinment partsa ato consti is based on the premise that everybody is equal regerdless of educational attainment...

andres BOnifacio the founder of KAtipunan was uneducated compared to Aguinaldo and that was the sole reason why he lost presidency to Aguinaldo who unfortunately sold us to the AMericans...

i dont care about the "educational attinment" part of the consti.. we just need intelligent voters...
