Yep...we are way behind...but there are also some aspects that we got the advantages...let's don't be too pessimistic...Philippines is still a better country compared to the rest of third world countries...just think of cambodia, some countries in africa, sri lanka...they got worser economic situation there than ours...and i think our president is doing all her best to restore the economic stability in this state...so i think we're not that worse...really...

I've been to Cambodia and their progress is really fast, as in fast as a bullet. In 5-10 years time kung ani pa ang atong situation that time, corrupt plus mga way klaro ang naa sa position, Cambodia will be ahead of us.

it's just so sad to think that even in a world where technological advance is at its verge, Philippines is still way too down at the bottom. in terms of potential, i think we got a lot of it. philippines is high on literacy rate, and the possibility of becoming a successful industrialized nation is still a possibility. but then, we have to act together for this to happen. politics? heck, forget about it.. government? samot!!!

Brain-drain, so many filipinos are now leaving the philippines. C'mon even Indonesian who are below the philippines(economically) seems to be know worldwide and respected internationally compared to the philippines.


Look at our former colonizer SPAIN, Spain was one poorest country in europe after they practically lost their empire. They had a Civil War, regionalism( Now Spain is made of 17 Autonomous Region), terrorist act(ETA), corruption(they make our politicians look like Amateurs) and now look what they did in 35 years.

The Philippines and filipinos in general are often refered to as Italians Of The East, but for some reason italy seem to be doing a lot better compared to us.

We are really behind with other asean nations ..... even in our atittude we are really behind from them ..... how much more in terms of economy, politics and governance......kay sda ugali pa lang gani bagsak na ta.......
