U2 & The Grammy Awards

Anyone sick of U2 winning almost every Grammy award these days. Don't get me wrong, they're a great band but their recent album 'How to dismantle an atomic bomb' wasn't all that. The album is weak compared to their other previous stuff.

Seems like the Grammy folks just can't be bothered exploring other great music and artist out there... so when it comes to giving out awards time.... they just choose to give it to BONO & his gang by default.

i'm not a big fan of U2. i think it has something to do with politics and bono's popularity

i like the band but haven't heard much of their songs from the "how to dismantle an atomic bomb" album...probably bec. of their popularity plus bono's humanitarian causes brought much about their nomination w/c is too irrelevant..i think the grammy's should focus on the year (2005) music..i mean a lot of musicians have been doing well..

based on the other Album of the Year Nominees, who would you rather win aside from U2?

Nominees were:
U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
Mariah Carey - The Emancipation of Mimi
Gwen Stefani - Love, Angel, Music Baby
Kanye West - Late Registration
Paul McCartney - Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

For me, its a toss between Gwens L.A.M.B. and Mariahs Mimi.

probably because U2 are political or something, especially bono. he's so involved in organizations with cause. i'm not thrilled about the grammy's anymore. i don't find it that exciting like i did during the 90s and i hate to sound romanticizing the good 'ol years but i just can't help it.

i like mariah carey's performance of we belong together and fly like a bird. gospel kaayo iyang dating. madonna's performance with gorillaz was fun too. can't believe that body is 47 years old! kelly clarkson was just great when she sang because of you. christina aguilera was so-so. i don't like that overly blonde hair. she looks like gwen stefani.
