stryper to hell with the devil got high pitch voice. but thats the style of singing during that time. thats why i got motley crue and ratt. love those kind of vocalist. there was also bruce dickinson who sounds like from a choir but love their albums. but ozzy was their originator i think. high pitch-voice joined by heavy riff guitar caught my attention. but unfortunately what i got before was a very less productive sound system that i cannot hear on a higher watt speakers. i remember during high school parties, we play on the sound system those anthemic tunes like girls girls girls, cum on feel the noize, livin on a prayer, all she wrote, round and round and others. some were not familiar with the songs and keep on asking "whats that band"... but if compare the music to today, people will just ignore. long live hair metal.. all in the name of... rock n roll... oh yeh kickstart my heart...

your right bro...the general philosophy of rock & roll is all about excesses...it's about living on the edge...maxing out...flooring the gas...about pushing everything to the brink...pushing the envelope...& that's why the voices of real rock frontmen are pushed to the limits of threshold of their larynx's endurance...& why the guitar parts shriek &wail & are played full throttle @ max speed...& why this music can be best appreciated if played loud...

this is what seemed to have drawn me into the wondrous world of rock...aside from enjoying myself listening to heart-pounding rhythms & driving melodies, i get fascinated by these musicians who drive themselves to the very limits of where their musical talent & skill could take them...my fascination with rock's mentality of pushing everything to the max & giving it all you've got is what inspired me to pick up the axe & challenge myself to take my guitar playing up to its limits...& it is here that i find great joy & satisfaction - both in listening to the music & learning new & even more challenging material...

some if not most people would think that our music is just noise, or maybe even, not music at all...but hey, we can't blame them...not all people are made like us & we can't really win 'em all over to our side...but what is important is for us rockers to remain true to our music & keep the rock & roll faith...for unlike pop, rock never grows old or obsolete, nor does it die out for it is not a fad...that's why rock songs remain great to listen to even if it were written more than 3 decades ago...it never goes bland, instead, it sticks to you & no matter how long ago your first infliction was, you find yourself thirsting for even more...

we know we are the lucky ones...we don't have just a passing fancy, nor a temporary disposition...ours is a permanent affliction...& it's a thing called rock & roll...hold proud bros!!! & rock on!!!...

stryper is 1 great band we seem to have forgotten...to hell with the devil...
The Sport Of Kings was the only triumph album i had back in the day. "Somebody's Out There" was in a constant rotation in Y101 during the 80's. nice.

i have only 1 album of joe stump - virtuostic vendetta....he sure sounds a lot like yjm...his octave phrases sure fits snugly into yjm's scalar fretboard meanderings...but his style tends to break-off a little...more like neo-classical voyeurism...a very skilled fretboard wizzard, i should say...

which reminds me, vinnie moore is another neo-classical finger flutterer worthy of praise...anybody?...

vinnie is more of those yngwie or steve morse type of shredders. a virtuoso himself. although i got no albums from him...rock is all about the passion. your true passion. its about those chains, motorcycles, groupies just like in glam decades. its a decade of decadence or an appetite for destruction. or even cover concepts like slayer. more on skeletons and iron maiden's eddie. the monster on all iron maiden's all album. but i should say dio got the highest score when it comes to album illustration concepts. the heaven and hell.
bro i did some research on groups from the past that i will possible regret i didnt took the time to hear from them. im refering to status quo and april wine. whats their story if you know them. i assumed that their style was like led zeppelin.
