I'm planning to buy a 3.5in 500GB Seagate 7200rpm hard drive. It's the one that costs around P3000. Does anyone here have it? experienced any problems with it?

How long does the warranty last?

I plan to put it in an enclosure. Can anyone suggest a good 3.5in enclosure?

if money is not an object then go with Silverstone, but if it is then try CD-R King.

how much man ang silverstone? and what makes it better than the ordinary ones? i just want to make sure na dili maguba ang hard disk because of the enclosure

well, silverstone is a good brand. their products are very reliable. but i have a friend using a CD-R king enclosure and he has no complaints about it. and it's just an enclosure. it won't affect your datas.

why? is it better than seagate? i have a 9-year old seagate drive which still runs up to now. and i also have a 5 year old seagate drive that runs up to now. then when i bought a new pc, i had 2 hard drives on it. a western digital and a seagate. That PC runs 24/7. the western digital died last february. the seagate is still running. this proves to me that seagate isn't bad. unless you can prove me otherwise.

it's just an enclosure but doesnt it have the controller that reads the HDD data?

the computer where you're going to plug it is the who's going to read the datas inside it. you're just simply making a very big flashdrive. hehe...
