sa akong nasabtan ganahan ka na makita sa gawas ang imo dns server?
kun nahan gyud ka muforward ug dns packets... UDP port 53 hehe .. not advisable tho. ma hijack nya ka paksit. but if nahan ka for educational purposes, try sa ug read mga topics about bind and how to secure them before nimo ipakita sa gawas.
trial and error man nang pag set sa portforward if beginner like me.. just read the instructions on the site![]()
Just to make my self clear, DHCP with mac address binding can be done.. So still even if you have a DHCP, it will still run.. It actually doesn't mean that if you have DHCP, the client always gets a different ip... There are still options for the DHCP... Nevertheless, you are also right by saying it needs static ip address just to be sure...Originally Posted by cold_fusion
portforwarding with dhcp is doable. it works for me, u only need to specify port/(s) /protocol, kn gusto nimu imu forward.
for port forwarding, make sure your modem is on bridge mode--if using a router..
if using a modem/router, then identify what port and type you want to forward.
assign a static ip on your computer, below or above the dhcp range of the modem/router or router that you're using.
access the setup page, forward the port to the computer/ip you want to forward..
so when request coming from the wan to your lan, it will forward that port to your computer you want.
what exactly are you trying to attain?
