in the bible, you can find that "the wages of sin is death" and yes your statement is true...however, god gave us a way, the ONE AND ONLY WAY as john 3:16 states "for God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life...yes indeed, we are sinners bound to hell but God is just so merciful that He gave us the freedom to choose between laying our faith to Jesus and acquire salvation, or just go on with our earthly, sinful deeds...

Your answer is very much appreciated, however you have allot of difficulties proving your claims about the bible that we catholic use. however is that we catholics believe that our dead will have a chance to go to heaven through our intercessions, cus if you think nga all have sinned then no sinner can go to heaven, dont tell me that all of us will go to HELL, is this what you mean? even the idea and word of purgatory is not explicitly mentioned in the english bibles, but the thought of is is there.

the book i am mentioning here is the book of macabees...since the book of macabees is not an included part of the original hebrew bible and its inclusion to the bible was granted by effect of canonical veneration, the credibility of the book is questionable...although the book was written a hundred years before Jesus was born, it does not go parallel with the biblical prophecies that went out several hundreds of years before Christ's arrival that a Messiah will be born to save us all...

A ok, so you mean that your pastors have been in those times that they have determined it? or maybe luther after leaving the church took away the those deuterocanonicals just to have his doctrines explained? maybe who have forgotten that before the BIBLE is the CHURCH, and CHURCH made the canons through the magisterium.
