    tenki ga ii kara sanposhimashou.

sa mga nakatake ug JLPT, or JLPT listening practice, this would sound familiar.
abuot, ang Nihongo kay naa 4 levels to learn pa. 4 would mean beginner, 1 would mean, well, murag Japan native na ka sa kamaayo hehe.. and learning Nihongo is quite complicated ky:

    1) You have to learn their "alphabet" in order to be able to read it. (Unlike French, Dutch, German nga Roman letters++ lang ghapon ang gigamit)

    2) You have to learn Kanji because when it comes to the real thing, Kanji jud ang magbaha sa ilang mga written text (though naay small Hiragana sa taas sa Kanji) while Katakana is merely used for foreign words like your name.

    3) Most of the Japanese grammar is completely baliktad sa English grammar. Say... I am eating cake becomes ke-ki wo tabete imasu (which, if translated directly is: cake eat, hehehe)
watashi which is equivalent to "I" isn't always used in Japanese sentences, if understandable na.

Pero all in all, lingaw bya jud. Well, in general lingaw man magstudy ug new languages. So next trip nako is French

Good luck nato tanan in learning a new language. Abuot, start nya dayon ug new thread nga puro ra Nihongo (or French, or German, or whatever)

i like this thread...i mean not to be snooty and all but i was starting to get bored with the posts i encountered ( i am a newbie ) ...boy i am glad i found this section...

the idea of starting a thread in japanese is interesting...it will allow us to practice and help each other out as we go along....as i said i lived there for a while so maybe there are stuff i can also share....not necessarily about language only but about lifestyle, fashion, etc....

sige na abuot...take it away!
