ang mga politicians gamay ra baya na sila ug monthly salary, not even close to 50,000 PHP per month, pero mukalit lang sila ug ka-datu inig naa na sa pwesto sa politika. ang Pilipino presidente intawon, pila ra man ang monthly salary niya, mga 60,000 PHP ra. magkadugay sila sa pwesto, magkadatu sila, magka-extravagant ang ilang lifestyle. and kana sad mga politicians nga na-belong na sa landed or haciendero class sa una pang panahon, kung musulod sila karon sa politica, musamot sila ug ka-supersuper wealthy.

mao ning wa na jud intawoy improvement sa QUALITY OF LIFE sa ordinaryong Pilipino kay tungod sa greed sa elected few. maski nutritious meals + dessert 3 times per day, maski high-class education, maski air-conditioning sa house man lang, di gihapon na ma-afford sa ordinaryong Pilipino.

The problems of this world are not political, they are technical. Politicians cannot solve problems. Even if they were ethical, they don't have the technical capabilities to solve problems.

I think religion also takes a huge responsibility...

So we've reached a truly remarkable situation. A grotesque mismatch between the American intelligentsia & the American electorate. A philosophical opinion about the nature of the universe held by the vast majority of top American scientists & probably the majority of the intelligentsia generally is so abhorrent to American electorate that no candidate for popular election dare affirm it. If I'm right this means that high office in the greatest country in the world is barred to the very people best qualified to hold it, the intelligentsia, unless they're prepared to lie about their beliefs. To put it bluntly, American political opportunities are heavily loaded against those who are simultaneously intelligent and honest.
