Yes I have heard and read that somewhere and part of that office is the censorship of forbidden books!

I think the public has the right to know especially when there's money paid for any psychic services. If they are really well meaning, they have to come out clean. You see, there are just too many of them who claim to have possessed such powers and we don't even know who among them really has those powers if there is such at all.

It's called The INDEX LIBRORUM PROHIBITORUM

The Index Librorum Prohibitorum ("List of Prohibited Books") was a list of publications prohibited by the Roman Catholic Church. It was abolished on June 14, 1966 by Pope Paul VI.[1]
A first version (the Pauline Index) was promulgated by Pope Paul IV in 1559, and a revised and somewhat relaxed form (the Tridentine Index) was authorized at the Council of Trent. The promulgation of the Index marked the "turning-point in the freedom of enquiry" in the Catholic world.[2]
The avowed aim of the list was to protect the faith and morals of the faithful by preventing the reading of immoral books or works containing theological errors, although it also contained scientific works by leading astronomers such as Johannes Kepler. The various editions also contained the rules of the Church relating to the reading, selling and censorship of books. Manuscripts that passed inspection by official readers were printed with nihil obstat ("nothing forbids") or Imprimatur ("let it be printed") on the title page.
However, some of the scientific works on the Index (e.g. on the foundations of cosmology) are now routinely taught at Catholic universities worldwide, and Giordano Bruno whose works were on the Index now has a monument in Rome at the place where he was burned alive at the stake. The writings of Maria Valtorta that were on the Index have since received an imprimatur from a Roman Catholic bishop.[3] Mary Faustina Kowalska, who was on the Index, has since been declared a saint.[4][5] The developments since the abolition of the Index signify "the loss of relevance of the Index in the 21st century."[6]

i honestly don't know how to comment on that--whether the public has the right to know or not. probably, all in due time, when the society has reached a certain level of maturity to handle things like these. in my experiences though.. most psychics assess the questioner's personality first before they divulge any psychic *how-tos*. and most of them just answer sugar-coated responses to appease the curiosity of a questioner. on a number of occasions, i had the chance to tour the province in search of these psychic personalities but it was not me who was searching, i was just accompanying the questioner. and its enlightening getting to know these psychics here in cebu.

True Psychics don't believe that they are psychic.

I have come to the inevitable conclusion that one’s degree of certainty about his or her religion is inversely proportional to his or her knowledge of the facts about that religion. The more dogmatic or fanatical a person is about religion, the more ignorant he is about the origin or basis of his beliefs.
    leaning on thy own understanding...

I always pray to the Lord...to help me...and keep me away from leaning on my own understanding...but to His guidance alone...

Above thing might happen to me...

I used to think that way, too. Having been raised and educated in a conservative Catholic school, I have been brainwashed into believing that the Catholic religion is the only true and correct one.

We were taught, during that time anyway, that “outside the Catholic faith there is no salvation.” We were also forbidden to visit or attend non-Catholic churches or services. I also remember that in our theology class, other religions like Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism were considered “adversaries” of the Catholic religion.
And I always pray for stong faith...a faith that is not a blind leap...a faith that is firm...a faith that could move mountains...

    everyday is struggle...its not easy...

but with Him...everything is a piece of cake...
