jackson's generation- better defense, better players..3 second in the key.., 3 point-shot, goaltending...and taller players..

phil jackson is way better than red auerbach, but you could always say that phil did not build his team from scratch, but then again, winning it in modern times, is more difficult than winning it in the 60's. because aside from the things pointed by the thread starter, the game now is way more competitive compared to the games during the 60's. mas daghan nasad maayo nga teams and maayo nga players. and by the way, phil won it with two different teams.

the difference between phil and red. si phil duha ka team iya gi coach. si red usa... it doesnt matter if daghan maayo karon ug daghan banga sa una what counts is the number of championships... kay nganu wala bay kamot ang mga player sa una ,nga pareha raman na sa mga player ron...

from what i've read about red auerbach, he was the one building the celtics during the 50's and 60's. majority of his players were now hall of famers!

phil on the other hand, have the best player of his team not to mention MJ! MJ is the greatest! game winning position, last shot, phil will only coach on how to receive the ball but on how to finish the game, its all on MJ hands! so thats make phil a great coach because he has a great player.

like what fredie roach said "manny pacquiao made me a great trainer because of his skills and hardworking...", it goes to phil as well, without MJ, Shaq and Kobe, phil won't be on that position...
