Downloadable songs, myspace, facebook, etc. has made it possible for smaller independent labels and musicians to get themselves out there and be heard by millions of people without having to invest millions of dollars to promote themselves. I'm loving the stuff coming out of independent labels and musicians not even signed yet, just through their web pages, myspace and word of mouth. So 2000-2010 The age of Indie music.

some, maybe few people say it's already boring and repetitive,- seriously, i have no freaking idea what made them say these words.

il try to remember some great bands, albums that i dig which i think came to popularity in between 2000-present. these are honestly random bands/artists that's circling in my mind right now. uhm, that jimmy eat world bleed american made its way in 2001; the arctic monkeys(formed in 2002) favourite worst nightmare was my fave and still is -- holy sh|t!; thursday(the critically acclaimed war all the time album made its way on 2003) was a great band i think, the mars volta oh come on? The Mars Volta and you dont know them?; mae was formed in 2001 the everglow was my fave(2005), bloc party silent alarm (2004)- i dont like their new stuff that much; death cab for cutie(signing to atlantic-2004); kings of leon( Only by the Night: 2008 ) and band of horses(formed in 2004),- my girlfriend made me listen to their music and ye its great. of course, some home grown acts like up dharma down (Fragmented was released in 2006). there's cool music coming from dicta license(paghilum forgot the year lol), taken by cars(endings of a new kind 2008 ), some kick ass album from sandwich, the one with procrastinator track in it. pupil was formed in 2005? and their album wild life sure did remarkable earnings in 2007 (or maybe i just made that up lol but they totally owned the rock awards.) our very own urbandub and faspitch, sheila and the insects dude!(Flowerfish: 2005 ), the year of the album release not the band formation, coz they're old skul i know. missing filemon for their epic sinesine in 2005 etc., etc.

..and lots and lots of artists, great artist out there that the world keeps on ignoring just because its outside the mainstream, and then after hearing the mainstream, they then judge it generally as, - "boring and repetitive". wow. cool. i wonder what kinda music they are into. [?]

these are just my words ok. ehe and no pun intended. peace

the age of everything... from emo to acoustic rock to rnb to hiphop to teeny boppers to bizrock to indie musicians to musicians signed to the "big four label" yet posing as indies hehehehe

2000 to 2010 is also the age of confusion having lots of people mislabelling anything calling My Chemical Romance as emo and Fall Out Boy as indies hahaha neither is correct
