if you read srimad bhagavatham it came from tibet only barrowed from india the sanskrit term is first used by chaitanya ( Guru ) on the age of 29 basta 20's after realizing to the death of his father he experience some kind of conciousness that he call BHAKTI (Devotional) which is the highest form of yoga. There is nothing wrong with practicing or using alternative medicine or therapy (ergo YOGA). As long as it is not mixed in any way with spirituality that is opposed to Christianity. Keep in mind that all healing come from Christ, the Great Physician.
