Even Belkin : Wireless G Router na wireless G up to 400ft ra then gasto pa ka repeater? ngek! hmmm daghan mu airhack? hehehe.
But for home connection, (just want to insert this) its better to have the powerline adapter which guarantees 200mbps per outlet (than wireless routers)- but I have not researched on this if the receiver is 200 meters away, maka kuha pa kaha ug signal since its using the electricity wall outlet?
Here is the link: Powerline HD Ethernet Adapter
Of course, its also available at cdr king but not sure on its performance.

Is your reason for not choosing to wire using UTP cable due to costs only or naay problem with placing a wire to connect the two points like an obstruction?
Kung utp.. diba naa man nay limit ang cable at 100meters.. ull need to have a switch in between the two points to boost the signal.
If mag wifi ka, given the distance, it will be slow and unreliable at best. Dako kaayog penalties sa throughput ang wifi if weak na ang signal.
How about a powerline nga network instead? The wire is cheaper per meter than UTP pero ull need to buy the powerline adapter so pricewise.. murag gamay ra ang difference between 200meter UTP cable + switch vs. 200meter extension wire + powerline adapter.
btw, ang cost sa cable is around 1,350 if u buy per box of 300m.. it comes out cheaper than buying 200meters nga tag 8pesos / meter and naa pa kay extra pwede nimo magamit or ma baligya.
I suggest you wire it nalang gyud.. pero your cost will be more on the pvc tubing for in-ground or flexible pvc hose kung above ground.
If you choose to wire it underground.. make sure to remove the wire lang pag naay thunderstorm kay prone ni sya to lightning strike which could take out your pc. (this happened na to my pc since I connected it to the switch in another house. it took out my onboard lan and damaged my psu) Currently using wired ghapon to connect to the other house pero router - access point akong connection and Im using close range wifi to connect to it... (phobia na ko sa lightning)
did you read his problem?
where are you going to run the wires? other people's backyards/frontyards/properties?
piggyback along the city's utility lines?
it's the philippines, i guess anything goes huh?
Yup. .I read his post... did you??
he only mentioned that his friend's house is 200meters away.. he didn't mention if there are any other houses in between.. thats why I asked if his reason was because of cost or an obstruction.
Do let me know where in his post he said anything about other people's backyard, front yard, properties... thanks
