How can I activate my old account?

Its not that easy actually.

On my case, i was Jack, registered since Sept.2004
My email account is jackdi_ph@yahoo.com

When i tried to use the "forgotten password" thing, the system gave me a jackdi as my new nick ID together with a new password. Yes, password can be changed in an instant. Pero ang ang ako ID, dili na mabalik.

It seems the system is picking-up the "first whole word" in my email. Hence, the "jackdi".

These are the possibilities:

1. The forum does not create usernames on it's own. You must have created the jackdi account on July 19, 2007. It's not possible that the system would pick a random username for you after requesting for a password reminder.
2. The Jack account and the jackdi account have different email addresses associated with each registration, since it is not possible to register two accounts here with the same email address.
3. Therefore, when you requested for a password reminder and the system asks for your account's email address, you gave the email address used in registering the jackdi account.
4. If you can recall all possible email addresses that you might have used for the past five years, request for a password reminder one at a time using every email address you can remember and then check your corresponding inbox - one of them has the Jack account.

As what YJOB posted, the "Jack" account has a different email address associated with it.

Jack and jackdi have different e-mail addresses, thus was registered at a different time using different e-mail addresses. One username cannot "turn" into another. You willingly created another account using jackdi ... even used jackdi@ as your e-mail address. If you cannot remember the e-mail address you used for Jack, then you are as is often said ... SOL.

Anyway, you must have been extremely very busy ato nga time.

Bottom line.... these are my fault.
Ignorance excuses no one, the same goes to me.

Thus, your current username should not be "system acquired" or due to "system upgrades" as per your previous statement but you personally register it. This is now clear. Solved.

Im sorry Sir Cliff.
I stand firm on what i've said.

I've tried it twice karon pa lang.
Ako gibutang ang log-in ID as "jack" putting anything else as password aron moadto ko sa "remember password". Nangayo og email account so i put jackdi_ph@... Pag-click nako, pwerting paspasa. 2 Emails jud dayon ako nadawat for the login details and the new password.
Guess what, bisag "jack" pa ako gi-type as log-in ID, it still gave me "jackdi" as my ID. That's what happened last year. It's based on the email i typed so it's system acquired.

Try it yourself.

Anyway... like i've said: Its not the end of the world.

Jack, the istorya.net password reminder system never asks for your username.
Only your email address is required in order for the system to send your password.
Since jackdi_ph is the email address of the jackdi account, the password is being sent there.



Again, the jackdi_ph address is associated with the jackdi account, therefore, all password reminder requests using that email address will always be related to your jackdi username.

If only you have any idea what email address is related to your "Jack" account, then you could have already received that password long time ago.

Jack, i advise you to ask the admins/mods what email address is associated with the Jack account, so that you can retrieve your password.
It's ok Jack, you won't get burned here as long as you don't mess up with the rules. Mas dali masulbad imo problema kung makabalo na ka unsa nga email address ang konektado sa Jack account.

I already did ask tabang from the hingtungdan. That's the "....how i wish that..." part.
But nevermind... it does not matter now. Dili na ni siya matawag og problema actually. So im letting it go.
