the weirdest experience i had was just last week... this happens in my girlfriend's place... My GF was out with her colleagues so I was left alone.. I had to sleep 'cause I still have work at night... Then I can feel that my GF was still beside me.. as I can feel her legs rubbing my legs as she used to do when we sleep... but I can't see her and I know that she's out... I tried to move and face to her side, but I can't move a muscle. That's when I realized gi UROM (sleep paralysis?) na diay ko... it was my first time that I hallucinated with something/someone during my sleep paralysis...

I've read it on Wikipedia. It says, it's a sleep paralysis that happened during REM sleep.

Here's the link ----> Sleep Paralysis

ang matambag nak is...kung busog ka ug kapoy imo lawas ayaw diretso katulog.

kung kapoy ka kaau relax sa, inom tubig then reach for a deep normal breathing.

kung gi urom naka relax gihapon just tell yourself what is going on like...just be aware nga gi urom ka then just relax dont struggle. take a normal breathing sab.

One contributory factor of sleep paralysis is STRESS...especially Psychosomatic illness! Watch out... for it kills you without your approval .

Ka-try sad ko ani. I was having a bad dream and desperately wanted to wake up. Maski unsaon nako kay di man ko maka-mata. I don't know what happened; I woke up with a start, breathing heavily. Lain kaayo ang feeling, helpless ka nga di ka kasabot. Like you know it's just a dream, yet it feels real at the same time. *shudders*

    This is called Apnea.

Naay obstruction sa breathing during sleep (either your windpipe or your nose is blocked) that causes the brain to wake up or be conscious because of lack of oxygen (it signals your body to take in oxygen) but the body remains unconscious. That's why you feel you can't move or something is holding you.

Unfortunately, I have this. I experience this at least 1 per week. And yes, stress is one of the causes for this.

The most important thing to remember when you're experiencing this is to NEVER STRUGGLE!!! Stay relaxed and calm. Try to breath in a relaxed manner to feed oxygen to your brain. The more you struggle the more your windpipe contracts and the more you won't be able breath.

One of the things I've noticed nga maka-help ani is regular exercise like jogging and any cardio exercises.
