That kind of wifi detector cannot tell you what kind of signal it is detecting. You will end up having to pull out your netbook/notebook or your Iphone's to find out more about the wifi signal you have detected. We still need to know if it is locked or not. And most of the signal we detected are locked or secured.

That's why we need this.
