nah, dili jud ko aning mahal nga slippers... dili worth...
look at the bright side, kun daghan mo palit og mahalon nga tsinelas:
I never said sayop... it was just an opinion - that's why I said " Sa Ako Lang". And I know limited and choices diha - which sucks because people there wear flip flops more often than shoes. But if you're really looking for something better - availability shouldn't stop you, right? Because there's always online shopping.
By the way, culture really has nothing to do with it. It has everything to do with common and sense and practical reasoning. I could never get the logic of why people would skip lunch just to save for a pair of high-end flip flops. Why? Is starving worth the miniscule difference in comfort? Is to "starve one's self to save" a part of the Filipino culture? Throughout sa akong kinabuhi sa Pilipinas, wala gyud ko ka suway ug magpagutom para lang maka palit sa akong wants.
Now - if one has money to spare for these types of things - It's okay. I may not get why they chose such things but it still is okay. I've seen wealthy people buy the most ridiculous things but they got money to burn anyways, so it's fine. Pero if someone has to constantly skip lunch for one straight week just to get a pair of flip flops.. there's something wrong right there.
Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
And it sounds like mao ni ang DARKSIDE :
Gipadatu man pod nimo ang owner sa SPARTAN and ISLANDER if thats the case ... if magtini-il ka then kana ikaw jud ang madatu kay walay maintenance sa tsinelas na mahilis gud , kubal ra hehehe .(1) maka promote na sa consumerist culture nga gipa uso sa mga negosyante. ila nang gipa uso kay sila man ang maka ginansya. consider it as your contribution to their wealth.
Ug sa tanan line workers and assembly line men of Dell , Asus , Toshiba , Apple , Gateway , SOny etc aron dili sila ma lay-off , kinahanglan naa tay PC aron maka post sa forums sa iSTORYA .(2) magpabilin nga may trabaho ang mga tighimo anang mga tsinelasa. kun wa nay mo palit wa na silay trabaho. consider it as you help to humanity para u feel noble.
Bitaw @ DIEHARD .... you are not serious are you ? .... because I am lol .

starving:
intransitive verb1 a: to perish from lack of food b: to suffer extreme hunger2 aarchaic : to die of cold bBritish : to suffer greatly from cold3: to suffer or perish from deprivation <starved for affection>transitive verb1 a: to kill with hunger b: to deprive of nourishment c: to cause to capitulate by or as if by depriving of nourishment2: to destroy by or cause to suffer from deprivation3archaic : to kill with cold
I think starving is an OVER EXAGGERATION. Skipping lunch wont starve anyone. Your point is okay, if and only if one really starve to get a want. And if skipping a lunch is considered starvation.
LOL - let's not try to nitpick now. I may be exaggerating but still, am I exaggerating that much? If I say "PEOPLE CONSTANTLY SKIP MEALS TO THE POINT OF BEING HUNGRY JUST TO SAVE ENOUGH DOUGH FOR A PAIR OF HIGH-END FLIP FLOPS" .. is that accurate enough? Is it okay to go hungry to save for a pair of flip flops?
The point is - People do skip meals just to save enough money to get their wants. They may be starving in the process or they may not, but that's not the point. If you skip meals for a number days (a whole week perhaps) just to buy a pair of high-end flip flops, there is something wrong in that picture.
