before ni nigawas ang havs, i don't think naay ncomplain bout kacomfy sa tiil, sa kadugay maguba sa tsinelas. and i don't think ato pod na time naai nicare unsai brand sa tsinelas. karon ra man ni oy lols
and i tried walking for an hour with a pair of havs (nanghitch sa cousin. haha) , wa may difference sa ordinary slippers. or maybe just did not care so much bout that thing
ayaw nalang ng retards uy. kay its an insult to the retards na iline up sila ana na mga butanga. take note, retardation is a medical condition, mura naman noon nakaminus ta sa ilaha handicapped. basin mapareha ta ani ni candy pangilinan.
Its not only about HAVAIANAS but the issue of why people if maka afford prefers the more expensive ones FLIP FLOPS when there is the SPARTAN and ISLANDER as an example . True before ni exist ang HAVAIANAS walay craze pa nahitabo and it depends pod sa individual since lain2 ang design sa achilles heel nato and arches but comfy and durable flipflops already existed whom people in the NEED ZONE enjoyed it compared to those in the WANT ZONE .

Of note, I got a pair of havaianas that is 3 years old naand I still use it kay it's still my favorite since it was my first! LOL..
naa lang ko question especially to the threadstarter... why do you wanna know? is this for a survey or research purpose? because recently I took a Havaianas survey sent to me and I was pleased to answer everything truthfully... now if you ask me, the reason why I've bought so many of them is because of the hunt. Mostly I have limited edition ones, just because I love to collect them. And sa wa'y binuang gyud, when I look at my flipflops, I get happy. I smile. So it's my perfect drug, too! ^_^
wa bai laing brands diri sa ato na comparable ang quality sa havs pero mas barato?
and i just don't get why some people go gaga sa prints na matabunan ra man ta na.
naa ko slippers diri i swear much better and cheaper than havs. tag $1.5 lang. but wa lang ni brand, so idk where to search something like this diri sa ato . i think mausab ang huna2x sa taw bout that havs kung makasul-ob sila ani ako grefer. lols
Havaianas is flawed. It's not a perfect brand. In fact, they're QC isn't very satisfactory. Why? Because the sizes change (I used to be a 37/38 and sometimes now I buy a size 35/36!!!) and even the "comfort quality" and the buttery-soft soles aren't the same in all of their products. Consumers need to be aware of that. That's why I prefer the ones bought outside of the country (ie. US or Brazil) because you can really tell the difference especially if you've got so many of them already for comparison.Ipanema on the other hand is a good option. I got some of them too, but my main complaint is because of the "jelly" thingie, it just doesn't dry as fast or got good traction as the Havs, but I like ther style more really. I also got flip-flops that cost only 30 pesos (a lot of them really) where I design the straps and put beads to customize it... giving it the "expensive" look and feel. So it's really about preference. Or you know, flaunt... and daunt. ^_^

buying something expensive...something which you can afford does not make you a retard.
as what has been emphasized by previous posts...most people buy it because of comfort, etc.
i used to say i won't buy anything expensive just for a pair of flip-flops, tsinelas or whatever one may call it....but since i got the feel and the comfort of a perfect pair, i DID NOT even blink or think twice about the amount i am going to pay for it. I am happy with my purchase and ever since did not regret that i bought it.I used to own a spartan and an islander way back...and some other unknown brands...with the price comes the quality and comfort...you can never see something cheap that will last you a couple of years. usually cheap ones can only last less than a year based on experience.
