Branded items maski unsa pa has a reason why its branded because it carries a feature why it is price higher than the average item or the pang masa item .
    In some cases bai, tinuod gyud na. The Crocs Athens are priced higher than your ordinary flip flops.. even more than the Havaianas pero I also think that the Athens is worth the price because of the comfort, durability, quality, and materials used.

    Himantayon sab kaayog brand ang mga taw bai uy, grabe. People go way beyond their means para makapalit lang .. ang uban mamantiner nalang ug ukay ukar and ang uban sab mo palit nalang ug fake. I am not sure how much is a Spartan nowadays, but it wont be over 50 I suppose. And try havs and you will know how it can retain it shape. I use mine everyday for more than a year already, ang iyahang lapalapa makakita na ka ug wear and tear but never did it sag ba na, or nihuplak, considering am heavy. I tried nikon ba na, kana murag spartan, 1month, nihuplak na, islander, of course, who dont own an islander? when there was no havs, dupe and ipanema before, islander is the in thing and considered to be one of the expensive brands! pero dugay nay 3 months, mohuplak na ang kilid. I did not encounter this with havs. Rest assured, mas una pa mahilis ang lapalapa kaysa mahuplak siya ug maerase iyaha print.

    AND, basin tood ug di lang nimo madifferentiate kay wala pa ka katry? Try it so you will know the difference.

    Naa sad ang difference sa performance uy. Ex. sa kahumok. clearly, mas comfy ang havs kaysa spartan. During malling, sa ako lang, kung mas comfy, mas dili mastrain ako tiil magsigi ug lakaw lakaw. so the more na comfy sa imo tiil, the more na makalakaw lakaw ka. sa strap angay angay raman noon na, i dont know for what reason, kung sa quality ba sa iyahang rubber or sa kaluag or kagoot ba sa strap na factor, but with havaianas, dili nagapula kanang tsinilas line gani nga tungod sa strap.

    With the skipping lunch to buy something. Dili man lang for slippers. I used to skip lunch, breakfast or dinner during college to save money to buy a pair of levis. Magtigum man gyud ang isa ka tao to buy something. It may be for anything. Some people spend ridiculously too much on music, some people splurge on books, some on clothes, some on shoes, some on bags. And to satisfy this "happiness" of ours, we sacrifice other things. So if dili nato makuha ang practicality sa pagpalit nila ug tsinelas na mahal, then think about it na murag atong "little bisyo". But personally I believe that I get my moneys worth buying pairs of havs, buying my kid a pair of havs, my husband his pair of havs.

    @cynic

    hahahaha. you were talking about function. right? I was just trying to give you a concrete example of similar function and different means. Same as slippers and shoes have similar functions but different in look, in shape. you were talking about shampoo, what's the difference? You have all the time to explain but you resorted to something below reason. Its easy to criticize cynic, but a criticism without reason, IBOG ra na.

    naa koy havs before na flipflops, i dont like it coz the strap hurts.
    I bought the Flash Design (one strap) mas nahan ko nya.. I like havaianas pero i prefer kanang flipflops na dili tsinelas design.. like Flash, High look etc..

    true, naa uban bahalag way kaon basta magka-havaianas lang. Lahi pud na na story, kay just like Springfield said, its just for the sake of having it kay maoy uso.. dili kay ingon they like it or need it..

    About the havaianas print pud, dugay bitaw sha ma fade compared to other tsinelas na baligya..
    kay ako hubby naa nya mal2x ug gamit, ok pa gihapon.. to think dugay na au to..

    He wears Crocs pud, i dont like the design kato dako ug nawng, pero he loves it kay super gaan ug comfy sa feet..

    I got 60+ of those expensive flip-flops. And even more inexpensive ones. Retarded, no. Addicted, yes. ^_^ Limited edition collector extraordinaire. LOL!

    I guess I will have to try one to really get it. I tried them on a few times, para nako it feels like a regular pair of flip flops pero it's been almost 20 years since I had a pair of Spartans under my feet. I wear sandals most of the time. Pero I do have a pair of CROCS flip flops (ATHENS) which is think is the most comfortable pair of flip flops ever.. (at least the most comfy na akong nasuwayan).

    As far as the print goes, I really don't care about that. It's gonna be hidden under my foot anyways ..

    Comfort isn't performance though.... performance is when the flip-flops makes you move better, run faster, keep your balance better, etc... actually, most performance tennis shoes aren't very comfortable at all. They keep padding to a minimum. In return, they wick the sweat off you feet and keep your feet dry while playing.

    I think this is just totally wrong though. I could never get the logic why one would starve just to buy a pair of "high-end" flip flops. That's just not the right way to save money. If you have some spare change at the end of the day, good.. save that. Pero bahala na bisag pasmohon para lang maka palit ug mga butang nga mabuhi ka bisag wala, that doesn't make any sense at all.

    skipping a meal or two wont starve anyone. and i need to, so i understand perfectly. LOL

    seriously, diskarte raman gud ng pagsave money uy. theres not a correct way or wrong way to do so because we all do have different tendencies.

    and prints do matter. its just like di ta mosuot ug kuspaw na sanina sa mga certain public gatherings. ug sa ako lang, makita nimo ang kahinlo sa tao sa kaunsa niya kaalaga iyang tiil. for me ha.

    @EZRA ...

    Bai , I guess di lang ka maka relate cguro since people in the US would save even the very last dollar for necessities . On the case where money is splurge here in the Philippines , its because its a want and not a need and people are not scared to spend . Mao we dont feel the crisis and recession here on a big scale since big na man daan but the only difference kay recycled and naay spending power ang Filipinos .

    Now to the topic .... if the case na RETARD ang mga tao na mo palit ug MAHALON na FLIPFLOPS tungod kay naa man BARATO , mas makaingon ta ug RETARD ang tao na maka afford unya mo resort to bottom of the barrel FLIP FLOPS and buys new ones every 3 months .

    @ EM_B ... true ! If limpyo ang tiil , walay kubal ug pedicured ang toe nails .... ang importante . Unsaon man ang hugaw na tiil and your wearing expensive slippers but that is beside the point . never nahitabo na you DONT get what you paid for because there is a reason why such item is priced higher than the rest of the same nature unless OVERPRICING siya .
