When you say you dont compromise when it comes to your tennis shoes, it still a tennis shoes same as flip flops are just flip flops.
I have several havaianas now. My first pair was a xmas gift last 2006, and still using it until late last year when I finally decided to give it away. I was using it for 2 years. I dont think a spartan can last that long. Or if it can, i doubt if it can hold its shape than my havaianas did.
Clearly, you are sporty because you talk a lot about sport shoes. Given your personality, you are very keen on rubber shoes that you can differentiate simple differences between two pairs. But did it also occur to you that there are "flip flop kind of person" who are also keen to that kind of details? When you buy an expensive tennis shoes that you can very well justify by its comfort, usage and performance, would you like it when people will call you retard just because they don't share the same sentiments and maybe fail to understand your reasons? Would it be too anoying to hear feedbacks from stubborn people insisting it is still a pair of tennis shoes when in fact you feel differently because you knew better?
I am one of the flip-flop-kind-of-lady. I prefer to wear slippers at malls, at anywhere because it is comfy, light and truly makes my feet happy. And yes, there are some flip flops who can give more comfort at a lesser price maybe, ipanema and dupe are some. But ipanema are heavier, dupe are slimmer, it didnt fit me that well as with havaianas. And havaianas is not just a fad I believe. It proves it already transcend that status since it has been 3 years since it was declared the "in" thing.
The other plus factor I have for wearing a havaianas is it can really replace a pair of shoes. It is comfortable than a shoe (atleast for me), it can take you some places wherein before they have posted a "no slipper" sign but they now are allowing flip flops and havaianas in particular. And this is different than just "sakay sa uso".
There are really plus factor in little things that we cant see and we refuse to see because it is not our kind of thing. But that doesn't mean those who see those and are keen to those are retards or similar to that.
And if one can't get the logic behind it, it doesn't mean there is no logic, you just cant get it BUT a lot of us did.
Indeed that is the reason why cost's more than the average FLIP FLOPS . You get what you pay for . I guess I can say this for myself since I wear flip flops more than tennis shoes or any closes toed shoes . Comfort I dont get in Spartan and durability I dont get in Islander .
Hehehehe it does make sense but people DONT , not even RETARDS buy flip flops according sa TS na si CYNIC for that matter ie aron gamiton sa dagan kung gukdon ug iro nor mag duwa ug bato lata .Ang ISLANDER lig-on and comfortable... ang naka apan lang kay ug gukuron kag iro, ma apsan lang gyud ka. Ang Spartan kay lig-on sab... maoy number 1 sinilas para bato lata. Pero they're not outrageously priced. Sa tinuod lang, ug ang SPARTAN butangag tatak nga FERRAGAMO unya presyohan ug sinko mil, naa sab gyuy amaw nga mo palit.
Bai give me a brand of shoes na you are talking about that features stability, grip, comfort, weight, etc. . DIli kana gi sale ha hehehehe ... kana maka ingon gyud ta ug barato say example an average New balance for running say $ 100 , naay same qualities sa New Balance na ang presyo is less than half sa price sa comparable item niya ? If na aman gani I would like to know what it is kay there is none that I know of .I understand about quality and comfort. I never compromise when it comes to my tennis shoes. Pero the features I'm after (stability, grip, comfort, weight, etc..) actually justifies the price sa sapatos dili tungod sa brand.... and if a cheap pair of shoes happens to have the same feautures I'm looking for in a pair of tennis shoes, sus di gyud ko magduha duhag palit.

lol, comparing high performance shoes to "high performance" slippers doesnt make the slightest sense imo.
expensive tennis shoes are expensive because they give a certain function that other shoes dont have, and expensive slippers are just like every slipper out there, yes, it gives more comfiness, but there are also brands that takes long to wear out, comfortable, but costs half the price.and ezra is right, people somehow buy it for the image that it gives, and not because of physical attributes the slipper has.
and establishments who have a "no slipper" policy, but let people in who have a certain brand of slipper are hypocrites, your slipper is expensive, yes, but that doesnt mean your above the law.
and also, if i have a million pesos, should i buy realllllllly expensive shampoo just because i can?
It does make a difference to people who use slippers extensively. I for one use slippers extensively. Okay here is my profile... I wear torn pants, faded shirts (naturally faded) and use a china made Phone.. but I do wear Original Crocs sandals... why do I wear these you ask? I find torn pants very comfortable, and I feel at ease that if something were to happen to these pants I would not care less... faded shirts (kanang ni nipis na) are also very comfy to wear... its like next to being nude.. I use chinaphone bec its dual sim.. I had 2 phones before it was not worth the hassle.... now for the Crocs.. why do I wear Crocs? Simply because they are very comfortable.. felt like I was walking on air the first time I was wearing them... and they do not get thin very easily so for more than a year now the comfort I from my slippers/sandals are still there...
My wife owns dupe and ipanema which I bought for her and I can personally see that the printed designs on the slippers are very hard to erase.. compared to some other cheap slippers I bought for her...
I have also bought Planet because of its nice design and its cheap... P150 cheap. Well 2 days with me and only half the print was still on the slippers...
You guys get what you pay for. If you rarely use slippers.. If you use shoes to work (me I dont use shoes to work in the office unless its photography work/hobby wherein I have to look my best) in a formal office and even on weekends you go out wearing shoes then almost 2/3 of your day you are not wearing slippers... then there is little reason to buy one.
As for me I have felt the difference... I would buy another one if I lost these pair... I dont even like how Crocs look but I dont care.. I cant use havaianas since its not covered and I can use it for work.... so I must use my Crocs which works the way I expect it to work.. give me comfort everytime I step on the ground![]()
