naaah it's nothing surprising. it's what they say, "Marami nang nagugutom sa mundo, fashionista ka pa rin?" hahaha..
i disagree with the retarded label though.

depende man pud na sa tao, ang uban they prefer expensive shirts, watches etc..
^ I agree. To each his/her own I guess
I don't really believe the Durability and Comfort alibi. If anything, these are just secondary reasons.

i got a pair of havaianas wave from manila for around P1,500 last february.
i'm not into expensive slippers, anyway i did not pay for this so it's ok.
comfort? - i didn't feel any big difference between this and a P25 spartan.
durability? - well, it might be durable but i don't think durability is worth a thousand pesos for a pair of slippers.
in my opinion, if havaianas was priced at P50 with the same "comfort" and "durability" without the popularity of the name, you won't care to buy it.
.
Bai ... diha na gi basehan why a certain price existed that we tend to disagree with before knowing why it is that much . Durability was based on the materials used and comfort based on the design of the slippers .
Too bad .... CYNIC was muted and never got the chance to focuse and reply on what I just posted about showing me something that can surpassed why I would pay a lot for a Billabong flipflops when I can probably buy 10 Spartans or 5 islanders .
@ MIXEDJUICE .... just wondering what status it makes because you wear a $ 75 Jordans sandals . Maybe a sporty status ? I am a beach bum .... I want a flipflop that can survive in the exposure of elements and low quality of some flipflops just wont make it as much as the " rugby " of Islander can last .

Spring.. I was talking about the flip flops. I don't buy that. Pero they're not outrageously priced. Sa tinuod lang, ug ang SPARTAN butangag tatak nga FERRAGAMO unya presyohan ug sinko mil, naa sab gyuy amaw nga mo palit.
I understand about quality and comfort. I never compromise when it comes to my tennis shoes. Pero the features I'm after (stability, grip, comfort, weight, etc..) actually justifies the price sa sapatos dili tungod sa brand.... and if a cheap pair of shoes happens to have the same feautures I'm looking for in a pair of tennis shoes, sus di gyud ko magduha duhag palit.

well I buy them coz I like the design... so what if expensive? I liked it....
its ok to spend even a hundred thousand pesos... if you feel that its worthy of a peny..
maybe some of you buy things you needed... and you envy the people who buys things that they want...
you're so sick of it....you login in some forum..
find the NEW THREAD button... and then pOoOOof...
It became coco crunch..... lol
buts it's ok... we understand you TS...![]()
Kung gwapa ka unya bisag spartan lang ay sus, model gyud imong dating tsong! busa huna2x nlng ninyo if you need it or just want it.
"It's okay to spend even a hundred thousand pesos... if you feel if it's worth every penny ..."
In a certain extent, yes. Like if you were buying a house. Now, ang naa sa nindot nga neighborhood is priced 4 times that of the one nga naa sa Ghetto. Bisag unsaon nimo ug huna huna, ang pinaka practical nga choice is the one nga naa sa nindot ug neighborhood, right? Now, this is a house and the same reasoning can NOT be applied to a pair of flipflops. An over-valued flip flops will never be worth every penny.
Karon.. let's put the same situation sa sapatos. You have a choice between an ADIDAS TIRAND series and the ADIDAS BARRICADE series. The Tirand almost looks like the Barricade pero it doesn't perform like the Barricade.. it does not give the same support and stability. Now, would you risk having a sprain or stress fractures sa imong tiil just so you can save a few bucks and go with the cheaper TIRANDS or would you go with the more expensive BARRICADE which is a real performance shoe. Of course adto ka sa Barricade. Again.. this analogy do not apply to Havaianas and Ipanemas because those pair of flip flops DOES NOT offer exceptional comfort and support that could justify the pricetag.
Point is -I do not get the logic of buying an expensive pair of flipflops. Flip flops are just flip flops. Sinilas ra gihapon bisag unsaon nimo ug bali bali. If someone would say - yes, I bought them because of the brand and prestige it holds (yet I still have no idea how a pair of flip flops holds any prestige)... kana hinuon mo tuo ko.
