Hey guys, sorry for the thread necro. But here's something I could share about forum rules being inconsistent on where do they apply.

I got banned long ago for saying acronyms with profanity in it(e.g. OM-G, ST-U) yet I can hardly see posting a acronym with profanity enclosed with it is bannable as based in the forum rules. The mod who banned me reasoned out that it was this thread was the one I violated yet you won't find this forum rule at the official forum rules. What I don't get is that, if this is a particular forum rule, why is it buried beneath the garbage mountains of general discussion? since this is only found in general discussion, shouldn't it be exclusive to that forum?

I already told the mod to be clear about the rules yet no action has been taken, the mod didn't even reply after 4 flames PMs.

Just something to share about inconsistent rules.

There are rules and there have been rules that are being moderated at the discretion of the moderator.

I am currently trying to get rules added in written/typed form so that rules are clearer for everyone. The posted rules however will not be changed until moderators in Cebu have met and agree on them.

don't mix up being awarded infractions as being banned.

show me your account that was banned because of profanity and we'll start from there. failure to do so (meaning, you lied and made up stories) will cost you dearly.

Oh wait, did we forget to consider human error? especially if words could be synonymous to each other specifically in this forum? I think its nice to consider infractions as synonymous to warnings then warning are far synonymous to bans.

But then this I tell you, I re-read my post about 15 minutes after I posted that and figured out it isn't "banned" but "i got an infraction" but then I think I won't be needing to edit it because mods like YOU or vern will know it is a Infraction and not a Ban. The normal folks will know that I got banned but then will they know who bannedinfracted me? I didn't post a mod name there. You only confirmed it by yourself in which if I were you, I wouldn't do it, and I would reply to it(my post) politely.

Why would I tell lies when im talking to the admin folks, they know the truth. The people will not know, especially with your name that's not in there. I'm not going to argue with you because I know you have an itchy finger to click that warn link right there(<<<), don't worry. I'll argue with you some time... when you're not a mod.

infractions = warnings
warnings ≠ banned

therefore,

infractions ≠ banned

--- unless you've accumulated 8 infraction points which is = 3 day ban ---

of course, "human error" would be your lame excuse today, it was "network problems" the last time. sure, for the untrained eyes that would be enough... BUT NOT IN THIS SCENARIO... your history of publicly undermining moderators to a point where you make up stories and lie through your teeth is reason enough.

i have been mistakenly banned, just registered this new account. Clone daw ko, and when I asked around, our technician said that its possible they keep track of the IP address, and since our office
has several Globebroadband connections with a modem that can accomodate 4 connections ( such as
a gigaset) compared to solo modems, several users may hv the same IP address...I think there is something wrong with their way of banning users. Daghan mi user sa office who have istorya accounts, I think they should also keep track of the time in and out, cz i think one computer cannot open more than 1 account in istorya, i will b back to find out more why this happenened, it is unfair...
