when you use the word "if", it somehow brings the statement into a hypothetical one. thus, when you say 'if a person can control himself or if he can dictate himself', then he's "TRYING" to deny the things he believe what he is... raising the thought that he's somehow 'pretending'/'denying' what he really is.

    yes this very true!

just because we DON'T TOTALLY GO PARALLEL with the bible
it's not just the bible...its the Word of God...its not ironic at all...the seminarian actually meant was...no matter who we are, what we have done in the past and now... God will still Love us...

and He will blessed us more...if we will turn away from our sins...follow and obey Him...
God will always welcome us...with His arms wide open...

that means a change of heart...

this made me realize that the same seminarian's quote was somewhat true..."if people would judge other people for what they see, and believe in it...then they are no other but sinners as well... for no one should judge what they see in their naked eyes... they should judge for what they "REALLY" feel in their hearts, much as how God judged HIS people!"
yes! inside our hearts, God will look inside our hearts...

inside our hearts and desires, that includes following his commandments...whether we (our hearts) are willing to follow Him...take up our cross and live a holy life...

a lot of people would really go out of their way to get what they want...and for this part, it's you wanting us to comply with whatever you're trying to point out.

the same seminarian is now a priest in our church. he visits us regularly on Sundays. now, seeing me for who I am today, he told me not to be intimidate with him nor to anyone, saying "kasi tanggap ka at tatanggapin ka kung sino ka...as long as wala kang inaapakang tao. hayaan mo ang mga taong naninira sa'yo, pagka't hindi nila maaring tingnan ang sarili nilang kapintasan, pinipintasan nila ang ibang tao'y sa tingin nila'y mas mababa pa sa kanila.."

...and i would always live by what that priest told me... nothing could change the decisions i made, and i'd have to stand for it...

in a world of billion people, at least some percent of it knows how to RESPECT who i am...and they're the ones deserving my respect.

I do not condemn and ever will. I do not judge people for God alone is the one who judges. Remember, all of us is not parallel with the bible, to borrow your saying, if we sin. I'm simply pointing out the fact that if we consider ourselves true christians then we should put in our hearts to stop sinning. The mark of a true christian is when you hate to do the things God considers evil. I have seen so many people completely transformed from being fornicators, drug addicts, gamblers, homosexuals into real christians after they met the Lord God Jesus Christ. They stopped doing there favorite sin because they love God more than doing their favorite sin. When we become christians there should be a battle inside our hearts, mind, and soul between the spirit of God and our flesh.

What the bible is saying is "who do you love more God or yourself?" If you do not put God 1st in your life the question of being a real christian should be considered. The bible is not like man made laws where it may change given a particular circumstance, it is an eternal set of truths, infallible and divine, that governs anything that God has made. The bible is actually the representation of God himself who he is.

All of us should simply ask the question "Am I a real christian? Do I have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? or am I going my own way and say "bahala na si Lord nako wa bitaw ko manakit og uban tao." Well, God may say you never did hurt anyone and you even gave a large amount of your wealth to the poor but have you considered that you are still hurting me by continually and habitually doing what I told you not to do? Who do you love me or yourself?

^you have the point but then again everybody has a free will to choose what they feel like doing...I believe God wants all of us to be happy, so if others find happiness to same *** relationship, I think we should let them be after all its God our creator who will give the verdict in time of our death...

God gave us free will alright-to choose him or not. It is written in the bible that man is evil and he follows his own evil heart all the time. The heart is deceitful and does not like the things of God. For this reason, he created his commandments to be given to those who wish to follow him so that the spirit and heart of man will be renewed and be like him.

True, God wants us to be happy but not at the expense of sinning against him. Life is really not about us but about God, glorifying him. God does not live (allowing everything you like even if against his will) for you but instead you live for God. A person glorifies God if he has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and obeying his every command. God will never be wrong-when he made his commandments he knew it was for the good. God is not kill-joy. His word is not set to destroy the person but instead to draw him closer to God so that he may know and experience real happiness (joy). I am a sinner too and has struggled many times with sin but I must always ask God to deliver me from sinning and asking for his forgiveness every time I fail, his will is my primary concern and not mine.

I am addressing this to those who wish to follow God and not those who do not. I am not condemning or judging but if you want to know what God thinks of homosexuality I encourage you to read the bible. Kung maka-sulti pa lang si Lord sa imong atubangan karon kabahin anang homosexuality ang iya isulti nimo kay mao ra gihapon ang unsa nabutang sa bible and that is ginadili na sya sama sa pakighilawas sa usa ka babae og lalake nga di pa minyo.

oppss...did I ask for something? for you to comply?

the same seminarian is now a priest in our church. he visits us regularly on Sundays. now, seeing me for who I am today, he told me not to be intimidate with him nor to anyone, saying "kasi tanggap ka at tatanggapin ka kung sino ka...as long as wala kang inaapakang tao. hayaan mo ang mga taong naninira sa'yo, pagka't hindi nila maaring tingnan ang sarili nilang kapintasan, pinipintasan nila ang ibang tao'y sa tingin nila'y mas mababa pa sa kanila.."
I think you missed something...your so called priest is correct...people cannot judge you just because of your sexual orientation...

however, the point here is not on the being...there is this so called active homosexuality...its a big laugh that a priest is adhering to active homosexuality...where in the world a priest is bluntly adhering to Boy-to-Boy relationship...even to the point of s*x for the same orientation...

I guess, you must have misnterpreted your so called priest...we are not to condemned people if they are homos...even to thieves...drug addicts...to criminals...etc...its the "act"...the "sin" is what we are trying to point out...trying to stresed to make us realized...

...and i would always live by what that priest told me... nothing could change the decisions i made, and i'd have to stand for it....
Good to hear that...its optimism...yes we should always believe that we are always loved by God...no matter who we are...God loves us...

Question(para kanato): Now what would be our response to God's love, after knowing His immeasurable Love for us?

I hope its none of these...
Lustful acts? fornication? pride? anger? greed? blasphemy?

best response?...that would be repentance and faith...
repentence--->turn away from those sins...change of direction...all for God's glory.
faith---> enriching what we believe...a faith that is not a blind leap..a faith that we need to keep growing...strong and firm for the Lord, ubanan sa atong mga Diosnong buhat.

    and this is not easy...

in a world of billion people, at least some percent of it knows how to RESPECT who i am...and they're the ones deserving my respect.
let me know I'm not disrespecting you...but if that is what you are feeling right now...please accept my deepest apology...

hope its not a disrespect for you if someone doesnt conform to what you believe...
on the other hand, we can't say a person is respecting you becuase he is silent...he doesn't mind what you are doing or what you believe...there is more to discover on how due a "respect" is...
