Yeah. Im really dying to get a quad core processor kay mobenefit gyud akong sideline work from the system. Im just waiting for the i7 setup prices to go down. Remember what I said sa first meeting sa LEG, im planning to build a 70k rig. But then ang kwarta napan-us na ug kahuwat na mobarato ang parts for an i7

patience is virtue jud. in my opinion, sakar jud kaayo ang i7 sa imong line of business. i do video editing from time to time, not to mention i used to work full-time. di pa gani to quad sauna akong gamit...hyperthreading pa sa P4 days pero dako ug difference kaysa single thread. unsaon nalang kung 8 thread, cigarette or coffee break nalang imong rendering dili na tulog.

WoW!! nice nice nice weezur - ok na kaayo ni - wish i had a 9550 like that.

bro just noticed your max temp deltas between cores is 7deg. - is that normal for this particular cpu? I would probably try re-seat the cooler and see if i could get those temps closer.

sirs, somehow mas init pa ang prime small ftts kaysa IBT than i did with last time with prime blend. morag mas init by 2 to 3 degrees ang IBT sa akong setup. try nya ko adjust lower for real world apps 4ghz 2/7 kung mahemo.

reseated na ni sir gal, with vertical config sa TRUEx. same thing ra gihapon the first time around. core 0 works the hardest from day 1. seems to be normal for these Q9550's, not sure though. danke!

@weezur: wow! 4GHz @ 1.344, dako pa kaayo ug sagubangon! mura mahit nimo ang temp limit before pa nimo mapuga ang processor! very nice post! post complete specs sa system beh...

also, the more memory available, the more heat IBT can generate. ambot ngano.

personalmgt - with your 70k budget, you dont have to wait for prices to go down. You can get a good i7 setup for that kind of money - NOW!!!.

video rendering/editing calls for at least a quad core these days, especially if you do it for some sideline work.

I agree with poldo here. you will notice a huge difference with the new i7 setup.
